There probably are multiple cuts, every movie gets multiple cuts. There’s a difference between a cut in progress and finished cut tho. Just cuz there are other cuts doesn’t mean any of them are finished, mixed, and ready for viewing.

Given what we know about A New Hope, there are major story points that were reorganized or edited out. I can guarantee the final product is superior in every way to what Lucas’ thoughts were.
There were also multiple endings and treatments shot for Endgame. People just like that movie better, which makes it look less like peril and more like just making a story.

New trilogy isn’t any worse than the prequel trilogy and not much higher than the OT.
Movies have always been the weakest part of the SW franchise imo.
