Star Wars Thread

Yeah, I know. The game literally spells that out.

What I’m trying to get across is they really don’t do anything differently than other force users. They even have an opposite magic called Allyan, which is basically the light version.

Really Lucas shouldn’t have bothered using this part of the lore cause he didn’t come up with it. Their lore is basically butchered at this point and all muddled.

Right on.

Although it was the first time I’ve ever seen Force zombies, lol.

Yeah that shit was awesome. We unfortunately don’t have a lot of visual representations for what the force is capable of. Sith have made zombies and can pretty much do everything the nightsisters do.

I got to thinking about how destiny is unavoidable in Star Wars. Anakin saw Padme’s death which led to him being the cause, Leia saw Kylo dying which all in all led to him dead. Even in the EU you had Jaceb seeing a better world in a vision which turned out it did after he turned into Caelus and Jaine murked him…

Like damn, force vision is probably the worst. You think you’re stopping something but you’re just setting things in motion.

It’s not avoided, it’s misinterpreted all the time. Force visions are also sketchy at best.

Also if you guys wanna read a bunch of crazy shit, here are the latest batch of “leaks” involving RoS:

Anakin should’ve listened to Yoda. Visions aren’t an absolute, just a possibility. Not even accounting for misinterpretations.

Anakin should’ve gone home and been a family man or just not turned to the dark side and a lot of shit wouldn’t have gone down.

Except the problem there was that the Jedi training explicitly told him he couldnt be a family man.

Him being 17 and horny is the reason why the entire galaxy went to shit

Did Galadriel give Frodo a Force vision?

No one listened when he said he was too old to start training as well. He was fucked from the jump. :joy:

He should’ve quit being a Jedi.

LOL. Once they said “budgetary reasons” I closed it.

Thats actually the one thing that was legit. If you’ll remember back that one vid that was exaplaining Kathleen Kennedy’s role as a producer, she was/is incredibly good at keeping budgets tight. Its almost guaranteed she had to out her foot down on certain things for the sake of letting others rock.

Thats kind of whats interesting about film making. Sometimes you get to make the movie you want from beginning to end. Others you have to keep in mind that there are going to be 4-5 different hands guiding the process.

Probably why I love bad movies. Finishing a film is an accomplishment unto itself. You finish this massive project and then it just doesnt work out. But if its bad in an entertaining way, you can give a bad situation a new life of appreciation.

There’s a lot of humanity in a bad movie. There are soany moving parts to them that one or two break down and the whole thing goes to shit. Unfortunately too many people get stuck in “lol shit sucks how could” to get to that point.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree. However if Iger was really trying to “right the ship” especially with this property, I don’t buy it. Also, the fact that it’s from the SaltierThanCrait subreddit gives me pause in taking it seriously.

I only saw that because twitter goofs got a hash tag trending with #ReleaseTheJJCut or w/e the hell.

Meh.

Fans are always asking for a director cut of something, never knowing most likely that ‘vision’ probably never got filmed or edited properly in a way that even the ones responsible would want it seeing the light of day for fear of the reputation damage it would cause.

True but I wonder with RoS. The same people that basically leaked the entire movie ahead of time indicated that there were multiple cuts of the film. After seeing the movie and the accuracy of the leaks, I’m inclined to believe them.
