Dude, literally 90% of the cartoons in the 80’s was made to sell toys LOL.
Even with the government BS of having a “moral at the end of each episode” it was pretty clear what the intention was.

Met the actual story creator at TFCon a few year ago. Could you imagine the level of hate he would have gotten if the internet was around. He said that one of the Hasbro execs dropped off a trashbag full of hate mail after he killed Prime off. He laughed because that’s what they told him to do.
Speaking of toys, that’s basically what made George Lucas ultra rich.

Yeah this was something Disney really dropped the ball with in the Sequel Trilogy. Given the time jump it made narrative and monetary sense to have a bunch of new ship designs.

It was them being half hearted in trying to grow the brand while still appealing to nostalgia from previous movies.
They were being idiots. For all the issues the prequels had, merchandising wasn’t one of them. Who didn’t mark out when this ship showed up?
Not only did it look godlike. It sounded like a damn muscle car when it flew around.

I actually think the Naboo ships are some of the most boring ship designs in Star Wars. They look like they are from a different franchise.
I liked Mando flying in a very obviously old as fuck and run down Naboo type ship.

I hated this show from the jump because the CG art and designs looked like ass compared to the previous Gendy cartoon plus they added a ‘kid’ character to it.
Then I heard good things and I caught one of the clone episodes. Crazy how it works so well in repairing the issues the films made.
