Yea could just be too old to make a viable clone.

Cloning is easy in the Star Wars Universe with one exception. Cloning Force Sensitives however is another matter. It’s extremely difficult. They either out right fail, end up being fine but lack force sensitivity, end up force sensitive yet unstable (decay quickly, insane, etc. etc. etc.)

Too bad Starkiller isn’t Canon anymore.

I think its really funny that JJ couldnt properly answer his own mystery box in the end. Even in the final movie he still managed to figure out how to make it someone else’s problem. JJ gonna JJ all the way to the bank.

Pretty much. JJ is a good creator but being an actual story teller is not accurate.

Not an Abrams fan but in his defense he got Zack Snyder’d with this movie. We got the studio cut. The RoS situation is like BvS but worse. With BvS at least Snyder got to film his movie. With RoS, some things were overruled before they were filmed. Given their recent track record, I don’t know why any director would sign on with Lucasfilm without getting full creative control in writing.

Th Legacy of the Force books.

Yes, that is Boba Fett on the cover:

From what I’ve gathered from the palpatine cloning mess is that force sensitivity is completely genetic.

Midichlorians can suck my dick, shit’s stupid.

Heightened force sensitivity is. People are born with different abilities physically, not sure that the force should somehow be exempt from that.

But it does feel “wrong”. Star Wars is barely in the science column of science fiction so it thematically feels weird.

Exactly, it’s wack. They preach constantly in the OT that the force is in all of us, and flows through everything unless you aren’t born with it, loser
I mean, the hamfisted ending of TLJ is all about everyone potential of being special, cause at that point Rey is a nobody, and uh, Disney feel good i guess?

yeah, and physical limitations can keep you from GOAT status, but I truly believe, unless you are actually impaired, if you work hard enough you can become an elite at whatever you really sit down and put your time into.
Michael Jordan was physically gifted, but he didn’t become one of the greatest athletes of all time because he was genetically better than everyone else, the dude fucking worked his ass off. Steve Jobs worked his ass off. Serena Williams worked her ass off.

Rey just kinda found out what the force was and could do it. Kinda has a gross message when you break it down. Almost some eugenics shit.

Luke worked his ass off, too. Remember when he did that back flip in the swamp? :muscle:

We’ll continue to ignore Anakin and Luke being the strongest force users in the galaxy. :joy:

Palpatine: “Rey I am your father.”
Rey: “Bullshit. I’ve seen my father. You don’t look anything like him.”
Palpatime: “Your father was a failed clone of me. So on a genetic level…”
Rey: “Nigga what?”
Finn:“REEEEYYYY! A phat ass does not give you a n-word pass.”
Palpatine: “See you dew have an affinity for the dark side.”

The Midichlorians take the placw of mitochondria in the cells of the body.
Mitochondria is the energy production of each cell and has its own DNA separate from your own.

All the force sensitive/force users has is DNA that allows for a higher Midichlorian count.
This more “energy” for force powers.

That’s cool and all, but Pertho made a really good point:

I agree with this 100%. Why get all hard sci-fi for this one thing. Shit’s wack

Even fantasy stories can get “hard science” with their fake as fuck as magic. This isnt anything new. I agree with Pertho to a point.

A lot of force users in other media both canon and now non canon make OT Luke and Kenobi look like bitches in terms of feats.

Yea and in the books Luke does stuff that makes that kinda ish look like child play. The books expand on Luke’s abilities to.
