That could have been one additional line conforming that instead of that random dude staying exposition cuz reasons in TRoS. The novelization of movies typically add detail, but that is a huge plot point.

TRoS releases on digital in March 7, physical on March 31. Gonna get that 4K bluray and complete my home collection!

Not gonna lie, I am a bit tepid on this release.

I’m excited to watch again a few more times in different context. Plus it’d be nice to have the entire saga on hand while I’m at home recovering from Covid 19.

Is the digital movie releasing on Disney+ on the 17th too?

Highly doubt it. I’d say a few months from now at least.

Disney+ still doesn’t have Frozen 2, but I rented it from Sony last night.

Got to the mandolore/death watch arc in the clone wars

See what you were saying about there being a different lady for Obi-Wan.

still see Ventress as Obi-Wan’s ā€œChick you fucking hate, so much, but end up making out with at a party when you’re both super drunk and your buddy has to rescue you before you make a horrible decisionā€ girl. Everyone has one of those, right?

I am sure Ventress is like that for everyone though. Even Ashoka.

Yea that’s more Ventress just radiating sexual tension 24/7. Like Catra in the She-Ra reboot, just sexual tension and frustration and self sabotage all over the place.

Ventress ends up hooking up with the Jedi Quinlan Voss in one of the series of novels though, doesn’t she?

I don’t know if those books are canon tho.

I think they still are.

Why clone wars SE7 gotta get super dark 2 episodes in? Like shit man. Give me some time to mentally prepare for that last 3-4 minutes of episode 2, please.

I’ve been pretty shocked about how dark the show in general is. dudes dying left and right, lots of in your face violence, hell there’s even
a death watch member that kills himself by jumping off a balcony in a crowded area after bombing a public monument
Sometimes I need a beach episode or something.

I mean . . . it is a Star Wars

This show puts the War part in Star Wars and reminds you that the galaxy was all in and it wasn’t pretty. It’s nice to display that and the more you watch the more you really start to see why SW is better in short run multi season episodic to fill out the world. Painfully obvious but the clone trooper episodes still are the best. Love it and binging season 4-5 this week.

I’ve been looking this up all afternoon after a discussion with a buddy at work.

Kinda spoilers for Mandalorian season 1 I guess.(I’m on a smartphone and don’t how to blur. Last spoiler warning)

Ok I lied spoiler warning possibly for clone wars as well

In the flashbacks on the mandalorian it shows a young Din Djarin’s parents putting him in some sort of bunker/trash can/shelter while his parents and this town are under attack by seperatist super battle droids and he is saved by what appears to be death watch members. When did the seperatist ever attack any place in the mandalore system? I was under the impression the siege of mandalore (which will probably be the last arc of the clone wars cartoon) was basically about the 501st and Ashoka basically going after maul/death watch members loyal to maul/black sun and order 66 going off in the middle of that.Gideon mentioning the siege is the only reason I’m trying to connect that to the flashback.Anyone have any insight?

The Mandalorian is not native too Mandalore, so that flashback could take place on any planet during or shortly after the Clone Wars when battle droids and the Death Watch might still be active.

The siege stuff we have to see if they incorporate a scene of Clones doing the shady stuff too.

He’s not native Mandalorian. He is adopted.
