The thing that sucks about all of this is that you know who will and won’t die along with their final outcomes. That dramatically reduces tension in the story.

When it comes to stuff like this knowing how it ends isn’t really the point. It’s knowing how things got there.

I get how this impacts the initial viewing, but on repeate viewing it find this to be much less of an issue.
Wonder what went wrong? I would assume they would have sorted the story well before starting production so what could have caused them to out the whole thing on hold outside of a injury or someone major being fired?

Rather have them take the time needed than just throw something out there because it’s in the fiscal calendar.
According to the rumors, Kathleen Kennedy was unhappy with the scripts. The crew was set to begin production when they told to go home. This is type of production trouble that Rogue One and Solo went through.
After the Duels of the Fate images, I’m sure the scripts were

She needs to be fired already. How many times is she gonna green light a project and swoop in last minute like this? At some point you have to realize its not the people hired but the person doing the hiring.

Funny thing is at least in legends if not the new Canon, Obi Wan kinda sucks at force abilities as a Jedi, but he really good at doing normal shit that just about every Jedi stucks at, combine with hard word and his witt is why he was made a Knight and later a Master.
