This isn’t true. There were other Jedi still alive. Luke even sends a message via force across the galaxy to gather all the Jedi when he formed the new order.
He literally became one with the force at a point.

You know, to bring up an old point- it’s been mentioned that having Admiral Ackbar do the lightspeed kamikaze instead of Holdo would have gone a long way to sending the character off and doing right by the fans.
But, honestly, do we really want a guy named Ackbar doing a suicide bomb?

It is like they were trying to be a space opera and space western but kind of just tries to be too many things to too many people

Funniest thing is its written by a normally good writer RA Salvatore, famous for his Dark Elf trilogy, but he cant write for SW.
Yea i was really disappointed because his DnD stuff is pretty great, but his work on Star Wars is pretty disappointing.

Aren’t there various specious throughout the universe though that have various levels of immunity to the force? I remember Watto saying in TPM that his race can’t be manipulated by the force.

That was more that his race is not effected (easily) by mind tricks. Hurts are the same way.
