Looks like they went with a new looking cosmetic prosthetic for the Implant.
I don’t mind it looking different and more grey as 20 years has past, and Seven could had some work done. But some weathering paint to make it not look like a piece of silicon would of been nice.
Then again look at Worf from different seasons of TNG, they can’t decide how his forehead ridges are supposed to look, and it keep changing every season.
And no way Jerri Ryan is going to go into a ultra tight catsuit again for a cameo appearance.
Plus I doubt she has that same figure as she had 20 years ago.
Her original catsuit in Voyager was so tight than Ryan was passing out on set. And they had to do costume redesigns if she going to be a recurring character on the show.

Funny there are episodes of Voyager where a 7 from 20 years after Voyager takes place (Picard time frame) with no Borg implants and such!!!
IIRC That was alternate timeline. Haven’t seen the show in years so I’m not certain.

The season of Picard is only 10 episodes long and finished yesterday.
End of season review: Felt like this was originally intended for a movie but was thrown out.
From a cinematography point of view although very nicely lit and shot, it is framed like a movie too, I thought I’d get used to it but I didn’t.
4.5/10
PS I was really hoping for Q to show up to fulfill his promise to Picard [spoiler](If I recall correctly, in TNG Q said he’d turn Picard into a Q when he eventually dies)[/spoiler]. Instead, nothing was of any consequence he is now even more [spoiler]cyborg than man[/spoiler] now …oh but [spoiler]he isn’t immortal he will only live as long as he was genetical going to live without the illness[/spoiler].
The [spoiler] advanced alien race of sentient life older than anything living in the universe being just a bunch of metal tentacles[/spoiler] waving their clamps all snappy snap snap out of the portal
