Star Trek: Picard premiered on January 23, 2020, “sometime after 12:00 am Pacific Time”, and its first season will consist of ten episodes. Ahead of the premiere, CBS All Access renewed Star Trek: Picard for a 10-episode second season.

Just started the free first episode. What are everyone’s thoughts so far?
Edit: 35 minutes in and this episode is all over the place.
Double edit: Just finished. Kinda strange. Not sure what they are trying to do. Think I’ll have to download the other episodes. I’m intrigued at the least.
I need more info. I enjoyed it and it’s very diff. Shits like a series based on defiant spy missions lmfao.
Like OK synthetics are bad guys. Data also knew shit was gonna go down… Or maybe subconsciously/hidden code. But what does that mean… It has to be more than just some random starting a war. It’s gonna be more grand

Im not hating Picard but there are aspects of i dont like. The writing in many places does not feel like Trek. Don’t understand why people in the 25th century are using 21st century colloqualisms like “dude” and I’m not that down with people in Trek dropping F Bombs.

They’ve always done modern phrases. Dude is eternal… Lol they aren’t saying swag or anything. But it’s no different than saying cool or awesome
