It’s possible. Actually the guide mentions air to airing with jump M, jH xx net arrow. I tried that in training mode and it’s pretty hard to land consistently due to the startup of net arrow. You have to connect at the apex of your jump to do it, if it fails you’re in trouble.
Starting with jump H, may be you’ll have to cancel on the first hit, which would make it hard to confirm and very unsafe on block.
Yes it’s very unsafe if blocked.
In xf3 you can use normal of your choice canceled into qcb M roll into throw, it’s relatively fast it can work on turtles.
Hey is there a trick to getting the slide to connect after the :qcb::h::h:? I’ve been trying it and to put it simply I’ve not been able to pull off the relaunch with the :h: arrows. I figure there might be something Im missing so thought id ask here.
you just gotta get the spacing down. you have to hit almost all of the speed shot arrows. like 3-4 of them. if you can’t hit the slide in time try going for dash up launcher, it’s easier usually but you still need the 3-4 arrows to hit in the first place for that to work too. sometimes you have to dash forward and do the trick shot flip to get the proper spacing. usually the optimal area is about 2/3rds into his flip arc for the midscreen relaunches and for the corner relaunches it’s just backdash immediate speed shot every time.
Im not really able to test at the moment, but does anyone know if Hawk has any good hit confirms off a landed Jam Session? Im assuming it’s either a jump H xx Dead Arrow, or just a properly timed jumping Dead Arrow (w/o the jH). Any thoughts? Something that allows for a full ground combo if Jam hits. Thanks!
I don’t know if this has been covered or not, but I’ve been told Hawkeye and Task actually make a good team.
I guess spamming the screen with arrows is cool, but what kind of combos does Hawkeye have that helps with Task and vise versa?
if you’re using taskmaster horizontal arrows hawkeye can get an earlier poison arrow by just doing magic series relaunch. it also lets you do safe slides that you can combo off of with a poison tip at the start. slide+call taskmaster xx roll->poison tip, task arrows hit -> slide.
hawkeye helps taskmaster’s combos a lot more though because triple arrow lets him combo off a lot of shit he normally can’t. front throws, air backthrows, super counter, shock sting, low air front throws, cornered opponent counters, swing cancel arrows that hit air opponents- they’re an extremely good assist for him due to their speed and extremely long hitstun.
both of them are great utility wise for each other though. you can also do THCs with task/hawkeye for monster damage to assists thanks to hawkeye gimlet basically being unscaled in THCs (since it always hits first) and leaving the rest of the super unscaled. if you xf it before the gimlet hits (hawkeye point) you kill every single assist in the game. there’s a problem with hawkeye’s DHC being super shitty so that’s why i put him third since his opening options aren’t amazing
What’s the general BnB now for Hawkeye? Does it involve the S-canceled Scatter Shot?
This is my first time here on the Hawkeye forums, so here’s my first post. Enjoy!

WOW
Sorry I didn’t post this video earlier, but here is what i could manage to do, hope you like it.

how do you connect the dp arrows after the knock up
jump cancel or tiger knee the dp motion.
How the hell do I consistently execute the basic S j. M, j. M, j. H, j. S, Freeze Arrow, S, MMHS etc. to Gimlet without them flipping out at the second series of aerials? No matter what buttons I omit or how much I delay, they flip out or I don’t have enough time to land and Poison Arrow xx Gimlet.
The second aerial magic series needs to be done quickly or they’ll flip out between the second j.M and j.H. Don’t worry, you have a lot of time to land poison tip after the knockdown, it’s not like Freeze Shot where you have to be quick with it or they won’t bounce.
Yeah, sorry, I should have updated. I figured it out shortly after posting. I appreciate the response, however.
So two questions, first, I have begun using this reset where I do a j. :h: :qcf: air throw, it seems pretty effective and apparently the net arrow forces a neutral tech. My question is, how do I punish someone who is expecting the throw? What air series does hawkeye have that can be converted into a grounded combo?
Secondly, the net arrow loop, I cannot for the life of my get it to work from full screen, does anyone know any execution tips they could share? I feel this is a relatively important part of hawkeyes game.
since it’s normal jump height you can just do j.mhs (or j.mh net arrow if they’re closer to the ground) into st.S.
for the net arrow loop it’s just about hitting it fast enough. i just like doubletapping the m and then immediately pressing H again. it tends to work out pretty well for me and builds a pattern that’s really consistent.
it’s really important because you can confirm into full combos off it as long as you dash and shoot at the same time but that’s pretty tight-ish. at the very least you can take someone’s health down to 50%~ which is the point where gimlet becomes a serious threat instead of an annoyance.
Yea thats what I was thinking, I’ve seen dudes do some serious damage from full screen(and in some cases even convert into an actual combo off the arrows) so I’ve been trying to practice it but to no avail. I will try your technique of double tapping the before the :h:, see if I can develop a rhythm as well.
And thanks, ill try both, was trying to chain into a st. but it whiffed, so ill try :s: next time.
Btw, you wouldn’t happen to have any footage of your hawkeye(you seem pretty competent) or any hawkeye for that matter?
most of my stream footage is really bad and i’m not really a great player, but uhh lemme see if i can dig some stuff up where i don’t play god awful with hawkeye/in general.
www.twitch.tv/shinkensou/b/314291255?t=3h14m and whenever grand finals happens though that’s basically just me getting reamed by zero
and

(i’m on that channel a bunch but like i said generally my play’s not too great. just search up “young”)
honestly i don’t really watch any hawkeyes so i don’t know too much footage… it doesn’t really seem like any great players use him to his full extent which is a shame and i don’t really know any obscure players or anything like that.
