If you’re serious about asking for a format change, the earlier you start persuading them, the more effective it’ll be. I even provided the phone # above. If you get them to switch to CCC2, I’ll show up. Unless there’s an entry fee. As I stated on Sunday morning (you weren’t there), I’ll play ST, but I wouldn’t pay to play ST. A man’s gotta have principles. Even if I were a multi-billionaire, I still wouldn’t pay to play ST, and I’d still dine at the 99 cent menu. That’s how I roll.
I will go if it’s CCC2, so call em up Julian
We would pound those Hollywood Video scrubs
While you have them on the line Julian, ask them to switch it to MvC2. :china:
That way, it’ll be an old game on a dead console. Perhaps that’s more appealing to their business model.
Should we phone in en masse and see if they’d change the format? I should ask first, who’s willing to go on the 8th of September if it were held on CCC2?
ask em if joysticks are allowed, sometimes these tournies only allow you to use default PS2 pad
Read my post on the previous page towards the bottom, Nate. It’s on SNES. I was asking whether a barrage of phone calls requesting a format change would be worthwhile. The question being posed before we even consider bothering GameCrazy would be how many of us are even free on that day. As is, I’m not sure how many of us would bother to attend a “some Street Fighter 2 on Super Nintendo” tournament.
i THINK i have a Capcom Fighter Stick for SNES…ill hafta look, not that im planning to go…i can do without shitty 5 traffic
Any chance of a Julien house ST throwdown before you leave for Evo?? I got my competitive spirit back because of those tourneys last Friday.
yeah there will be one. Actually if people are interested I could do one this sunday afternoon, like from now until 6pm (have to kick ppl out around 6 or so tho). Anyone up for it?
Wow I work 2-6 today =[.
oh shit, ill head over
turns out i can have it later than 6, so maybe till 8 or something… post if you want to come deezo
Aw, busy till 10 or 11PM. There’s always next time. Sniffles:sad:
Sorry guys can’t make it. Just got back from a 5 hour drive, I spent the weekend at a friend’s cabin in Mazama, WA. I am really tired, and would probably miss more shoryukens than normal. I will be practicing on my own this week, unless there is another gathering early this week.
Wow, that is one spastic av. It’s giving me seizures. I love the chicano pride with the animated flag, but the jerky Ryu is kinda distracting.
LOL, it was not exactly what I had in mind but I found it hillarious.
You should change your sub-title from “Fearless” to “hecho en Mexico” to fit with the av.
Would people be interested in tournaments for money at these gatherings? Or do people prefer the more casual no entry fee tourneys?
I prefer it the way it is now, I always play serious anyway…
^^Ditto. I think it’s a better learning experience, I’m actually tempted to play my secondary characters when it’s not serious.
I might have to drag Ryan to one of these.
