Can’t help, it comes so naturally. An atavistic urge compels me, sort of like rape. Actually, I just don’t feel like I’ve tapped my full potential for my first character yet. NKI’s wiki said that one should try to know everything about one character before taking on anything else. You’ve played Chun Li for over a decade, while I’ve played Claw for less than 2 months. My exposure has also been sporadic. I hope to be somewhat accomplished with Claw, Boxer, and Old Sagat some day. That day is simply nowhere near. And my love for marvel has also diminished my enthusiasm for fighting games in general, as you well know.
Leaving now for Beasley’s. I hope to see Umbrellastyle, Full Screen, and Idi Amin all there.

Thanks for coming over guys… it was a small session, but for me the best we’ve ever had. I made huge improvements in my game, and I agree with Keith that Pablo got noticeably better. Thanks Keith for the help with timing the combos on console.
I tear shit up on console and I have my super awesome SF anniversary stick to thank for that.
The anniversary edition sticks are the worst sticks I’ve seen in a really longtime.
Careful of the Start/Select placements on those sticks. I’ve always despised sticks featuring those buttons on the face. The SF Anniversary stick has them near the stick. Even the Tekken stick has a standard HORI-esque layout, so you can easily pause the game when you mash. Afrolegends lost 2 seperate rounds in the top 8 alone due to accidentally pausing the game. If that happened to me after paying money to travel to a major tournament, I’d kick Julian or Pablo in the balls.
Anyone know more about this tournament that Brent’s talking about? I know the store in question, perhaps I’ll give them a call tomorrow. The Hollywood Video property site didn’t feature any info on this event.

I’m with you all the way on that one. The hori stick is the one I’m using at the moment, and I hit the start too often in marvel.
And on that last note, I’m gonna guess that he rents movies or visits GameCrazy 
They’re really not, there’s much worse console sticks than the Bao Lian clone in the SFAC stick. But Pablo’s is Happ modded.
It amazes my how people can hit the start button during gameplay. It happened a bit with the guys in AZ I would play. The whole time I’m thinking “Get some self-control”
I can see how people can hit the buttons, but the way I hold sticks it has never been a problem. I think it is also because I tend to have the stick away from me.
So I checked up on this SF2 tournament on the 8th of September. It’s being held by GameCrazy reachable at 206-675-0804. It’s a used games dealer located within the Hollywood Video. The dude who answered the phone was unsure what time the tournament will start, but I trust that Brent’s time of 1PM is most likely accurate. It is open to all ages, and you can go there anytime between now and the tournament date to sign up. But there is a kicker that I didn’t foresee.
Being a used game dealer, they’re sort of promoting their business format of trading/re-selling games. So the setup will be “some Street Fighter 2 on Super Nintendo.” That’s the way the phone clerk put it. Seeing as how you could be getting anything from bastardized versions of World Warrior, to ghetto Super, to lethargic Super Turbo, to butchered Alpha 2, the concept is hardly palatable. Good luck, guys. Count me out for this one.
Well, I don’t really want to attend and play. But if you’re driving and providing the alcohol, I’d be glad to cheer you on and talk shit if you lose. I’ve never been cited for public intoxication before, and I’m all for trying new things.
I’m gonna call before the tourney and demand they play SF on CCC2.
