SSFIV AE 2012 ALL character changes (FINAL )

Only chars that will see significant match-up changes will be twins, maybe Gouken, Hakan, and possibly Oni and E.Ryu.

What would you consider significant? A change of +/- 1 in the ratio? I could see some of Akuma’s matches sliding down 0.5 or MAYBE 1.0. Not sure if I’d qualify that as significant. Definitely agree with your list…for now.

Significant would be a point or more imo. Lets say before you just flat out lost a match but now the match is straight even and up to pure skill. That’s a real match swing. Twins will def not be bodying alot chars the same way they were for example.

I think Fei Long is going to see some rather significant matchup changes, for the worse I might add. Vega is almost certainly going to beat Fei 6-4 now, for example.

I think vega vs rose became 6.5-3.5 vega now -_-

Isn’t Vega like Fei’s worst matchup as it is? 5-5 right? I think Fei will still be very very good in AE but yeah you’ll see a fair amount of matchup changes, I think more because of other characters buffs rather than just Fei’s nerfs.

I still feel bad for Yun v Sim matchup. That is still going to be heavily in Yun’s favor. Probably shifted from 8-2 to 7-3 though thanks to lower meter gain palm whiff, and the dive kick height restrictions.

the one japanese tier list that came out had it as 6-4 vega. also just about every high level match i saw between fei in vega had vega winning.

he punishes all rekkas, and without them fei gets outdone easily on the ground. assuming the claw player can use his advantages to completely control the neutral game to stay away from KDs, its a simple win

Yeah but if Fei actually gets in past the claw poke range Vega doesn’t really have a good option to escape the pressure and Fei is going to keep him in that corner.

I mean it is like Vega v Makoto in that sense, Vega does a good job keeping Makoto out at neutral range, but it is just pokes and if Makoto or Fei manages to get in past that claw just one time they can easily reset the health advantage the pokes gave Vega.

At least, that is how I view it.

100% agree with you am all the time ask for 50 for his stamina and every one just says he is fine with 900 health !! come on ppls … even now evil ryu and oni gotta more health and u all ppls will see oni and evil ryu in tournaments alot … Gen just neeeeed 50% to his health nothing more !! :frowning:

Hmm… I think there should be another thread with the hidden changes as well, just a suggestion. I have no interest in updating it (also I am lazy) so someone else should make one.

Do you guys know when will the PAL version gets the update? It’s already 13th where I live and I heard we might have to wait until the 14th to get it, would really suck if that’s the case.

So when does it come out exactly? DLCs are usually updated around 5AM here. Patches I don’t know though.

Just wondering, will we still have the option to select AE like we could with Super? Personally I would like the ability to have access to all versions of each character. Yes I’m ready to move on to AE 2012. But like I’ve done with Vanilla and Super on occasion, I’d like to go back and play AE from time to time.
