I wouldn’t do that to you kind fella’s though. By my reasoning and talking to other fellow addicts, I make it 6-7 hours from now, where ever you are.
However, some people seem to get it, some not, I’m not quite sure what’s going on. I’m one of the unlucky ones at the moment. Hopefully it’ll settle in a few hours.
I think I found a hidden change, but it would be nice if someone could confirm it for me. In AE, Evil Ryu’s cr. LP into cl. HP link is a 1 frame link. I never used it because I could not hit it consistently. So I’ve been using him in the training room and decided just to try it out and I keep hitting it, probably at 80+% rate where as before in AE I’d probably land it half as much. I thought maybe I was just on a lucky streak, but I kept hitting it over and over.
So either his cl. HP is a 4 frame start up or his cr. LP is +6 on hit, I’m betting on the former though since I can’t get cr. LP to combo into sweep on counter hit(sweep is a 7 frame start up). But anyways I could be wrong and am just magically hitting that link today so I’d like to see if someone else can help me confirm this.
I never found evil ryu’s c.lp to cs.hp link to be difficult. I know it’s a 1 framer, but it’s shockingly similar to Akuma’s c.lp to cs.hp which is 2 frames. Probably I can hit it that easily because I’m used doing it with Akuma.
I don’t think it’s changed, but who knows…
False alarm, I tested it thoroughly and couldn’t get it to punish any -4 moves where you’d still get cl. fierce. I think it’s actually my practice with other stuff that led me to be able to do this consistency. But man that would have been great if true.
Even if it’s 1 frame it’s plinkable and most importantly you’re gonna cancel it into mk axe kick 90% of the times which is safe on block even if you happen to fuck up. I think that link is crucial to playing e.ryu.
I main’d Ryu in Vanilla and Super. I was so use to doing all my links while crouching. When AE came out I switched to Evil, but his link into st. HP is 1 frame and needs you to stand of course. Something as simple as this was very awkward for me. When AE 2012 was announced and one of the buffs was combo’ing into HK axe kick for a hard knockdown. I thoroughly practiced that because I’m not use to it. And I think that’s the main reason why I’ve been hitting that link so consistently. I haven’t tested out that link in a while, so I never realized how much better I could do it until now.

anyone else notice some really weird bugs? it seems like it’s happening on the characters with large hit boxes (guile/dudley/balrog). i was playing as vega vs a dudley…i did a cosmic heel, he blocked it, then i ended up crossing him up. wtf? i also saw a video in the juri forums of juri doing something similar to balrog after a a j.hk, st.mp.
