So in keeping on topic with changes, has anyone been able to find anything from reading the Japanese boards?

I saw the Makoto dash change, and the way Akuma drops after hsi EX flip > ball, but are there any compiled notes on anything else? New combos or undocumented changes?

no, but i found a bit of wierd shit with gen. match starts @ 2:30. when he hits the wall and lands without attacking, he flashes yellow for some reason. maybe a hardware glitch?

Maybe he’s switching styles ?! I know it’s weird but probably there as a switch confirm flash.

cant raw switch until he lands. a switch during another move is masked by the full duration of said move

Yes. Cammy players are Cammy’s worst matchup, that’s because they complain about everything. :smiley: And believe me, I’ve been a part of that group before many a many of times, and probably secretly the worst ;). But srsly, I personally have trouble with some of the charge characters Rog, Guile, Honda, and to a lesser extent Bison. None are close to being unwinnable, and in some instances they’re even or maybe in my favor (me not having enough experience with some of the punishes or generally losing to better players). Some of the more experienced players will prolly tell you Fei was Cammy’s worst matchup, but I think in AE12 she’ll hover around even or close to even across the board with a few heavily in her favor.

As a side note: I’ve made peace with her not getting a normal throw range, which was at the top of my buff wish list, but still holding out hope that they ninja nerfed EX Canon Spike to become armor breaking (very unlikely). I know there’s ways around characters who have EX armor moves, but if they can spend a bar to activate it, I’d like to be able to spend a bar to reliably counteract it.

I’ve played a few AE12 Yun/Yang’s, they’re still good. Everything that made them good in the first place is still there, just some of the retardation is gone. I’d felt this way even reading the change logs, but playing against them just kind of confirmed that.

I saw it during the southtown casuals. There is plenty of 2012 footage that just came out with Akuma in it, I’m sure it is in there somewhere if you care to look. I didn’t actually watch any of it though.

what did they do about makoto’s dash ?

They tweaked her hitboxes (it seems) so when she dashes into someone point blank she doesn’t shift back slightly as in Super and AE. Same speed and overall distance in both versions.

edit: this image looks major distance-wise but it is more about the problematic characters who Mak would dash into and then end up too far away for lk or ex karakusa which are her “safest” in terms of startup. This is a definite great buff though. Up in that assssss.

He’s landing right on the border of the shadowed area of the stage. I’m pretty sure what we see there is a frame of the graphics engine fucking up how to illuminate the character model in that specific situation.
