That would be me. I can play maybe 2 or 3 times a week tops, and only for an hour or two. That’s not nearly enough to be competitive. I like the game and enjoy playing it, but I also have limits. If the game were to get to a point where I’d have to be really hardcore just to play/enjoy it I’d have to walk away simply because I can’t commit that much to it.
Sometimes I feel like SRK gets too wrapped up in the play to win sentiment. Having the competitive scene is good for the community and now with sponsorships and what not there’s more incentive to win. But there are also a lot of players who just want to enjoy the game. If Yun is the best in the game, pros will pick him and learn Genei-Jin combos and do whatever it takes to win, and that’s fine for them. But it’s boring to watch on stream and for random joe who takes his mid tier character online only to get destroyed by a Yun army it’s not fun at all. I feel there should be a balance between the hardcore and the casuals, because we need each other.
Shut up scrub, no cares, go play online more, and other assorted SRK nonsense responses.
Just wanted to get those out of the way before someone else said them. I agree with what you’re saying bro…while I think that “play to win” is an important mentality to have if you’re intending to go to tournaments and compete at the highest level, for folks who just hop on XBL occasionally and don’t have the means to get out to major tournaments, it’s only natural to want more variety. And that’s not something SRK should be looking down on as such.
Aint no shame, I can admit that. I consider myself maybe intermediate at best, and love seeing what someone like Sako can do with my character. I love the occasional mirror matches, but I love variety too/more. But yeah a lot of it boils down to wanting to see my character played to the highest potential. It’s like watching sports(another thing I suck at), it’s seeing the human body pushed to its limits.
Thing is there really isn’t no twins army its pretty exaggerated, you barely see them in majors, probably 1 or 2 they invite Daigo or w/e and few other american ones who usually get blown up for playing them, you seen any american win with any of the top tiers apart from Viper none.
Now it only has 1 less frame of invincibility than an mp srk, so if you time your anti-airs well, you get an additional 30 damage per AA which is huge. That extra 30 damage and the extra 10 damage from fireballs really add up.
Not to mention Ryu’s new ability to punish. SPS, cr.hp xx hp shoryuken does sooooo much damage now for the cost of no meter.
Actually the new HP dp has the same amount of invincibility as mp version in super. The super mp dp was good for AA. Therefore, the new hp dp, which does 30 more damage, is a buff. Keep in mind that the extended hp dp fadc combos works on almost all of the cast using mp and in many cases lp dp.
Nope, there IS a mount olympus IN Greece. But Mythological studies are unsure if the mountain was named after the myth or if the mythological place was the mountain. So technically there is two mount olympus locations (plus Mount Olympus actually starts at the center of the earth)
Mythology is fun (seriously, go read some classic greek or japanese mythological stories some are AWESOME. One of my fav things about Persona was reading the demon’s descriptions and lore.)
Yes I need more E.ryu please. Give me names. Mr Naps doesn’t seem to have a lot of video’s. I can only find scrub tastic normal Evil Ryu’s who are not very Evil (Doctor Evil voice), even Alex Valle’s I had to turn off after 90 seconds.
