Yeah there’s no secret that Sakura is a Top 10 character (if not Top 5) but still… the Sakura-Rose matchup is 5-5. Sakura may be able to handle top tiers like Akuma/Seth/Cammy but vs Rose is neutral. It’s pretty hard for Sak to get in against a good defensive Rose and you know very well that Sakura HAS TO GET IN cause she WILL NOT WIN a fireball war against Rose!
If Rose gets the lead then she will spam her godlike backdash like forever and we have to chase her the whole time! Ooops! She already has a full super by absorbing my hadokens…!!! She walks towards me… with a little knowledge on spacing you can spam dat drill from safe range and buffer her super until the end of time …Oh! I have a friend who plays a better Rose than this Salty hater (Aesland03) and i couldn’t do shit… If you don’t know how to handle Sakuras-tatsu pressure then go study the matchup. She has not Akumas or Ibukis vortex pressure… Yes! She has long damaging combos but heyyyyyy this is online… Dropping her tatsu loop means DP/Super/Ultra in da face! Sure its kinda braindead spamming random ex tatsu as a Sakura player, it works on noobs (newcomers) are you one of them? Some of my high level friends (GG Halibel, XaberRiderZ, Ragerunner05 etc) can DP on reaction on my helpless ex Tatsu-attempts before I die.
Also… I’m glad to disagree on “Rose is a badly designed character, Nobody of relevance in Japan plays Rose (or at least mains her) for a reason” You don’t see her in Major tournies cause sponsored Pro players use characters from the Top5 to make a living out of Street Fighter $$$ not to showoff their love of a not-so-powerful character like Rose. If she gets buffs in AE 2013 you might see more Rose players in tournies… I find her different and unique character… and players with character-devotion like Jiban and rosetukaidesu are doing awesome with Rose on xbox live.

After I win the mirror in the first match, he switches to Ryu for two games, Bison for one, and Blanka for one. I lost all four with Cammy and Viper. He leaves, I send “GGs” and get this in return:

This happens, more or less, every time I play against a high ranked Cammy in a mirror… Win or Lose. I guess it’s because I don’t play Ranked and they don’t feel like they should be losing to an “inferior” Cammy? Idk… It wasn’t all bad, though… After a few more matches, I got this:

Sakura can derp around and use her jump in attacks to stuff a Cr. HP correctly. Sakura can turn the tide of the fight with a touch and put you in a retarded 50/50 reset situation afterwards. You can even win with only 10 seconds left.
So Yeah its like poking a shark with a knife and praying that you never mess up cause you are dead. The Sakura player can afford to do mistakes getting in (Rose has horriible damage) while I can’t mess up my spacing. You guys have it rough…so many combos…it sucks to be a Sakura player I bet…
Rosetukaidesu and Jibban are not impressive IMO. Anything they can do any Rose player can do. Only Sako and Keshikaran have reached the pinnacle of Rose power.

Her spiral can be easily read and punished with neutral jump, or perhaps space yourself out of its range? It isn’t fast, it isn’t even a main footsie tool you arguing agains these tools could be me saying Sakura can time her air normal to stuff crhp, forcing rose to spend meter. That one crmk leads into good damage and a 50/50. But they are Sakura’s tools to win the match, so why?

I play a scrubby rush-down Balrog who is anything but a turtle (my icon title even says, “Moth to a Flame”). I may have gotten a huge life lead and let up a little, jumping over fireballs and timing a finishing TAP or EXDS to finish him when appropriate, but I don’t play a very defensive Balrog at all, much less a trutling one. And even if I did, I still fucking beat that asshole, LOL!

Played a lot of AE today. Won 80% of my matches. After destroying a Rufus player who just dive kicked and crouching heavy punch, he sent me a message. It read : “Are you serious bro?” All I could respond with is, why so serious?..does anyone even remember what movie I am referencing to?
