Interesting week. Had one message after beating someone asking for advice on the matchup. I love teaching and sharing knowledge, so I send a few messages back and forth. Later on I beat a Balrog using Gief. I get a message that looks to only say “Sick gief”. I open it and it has enough spaces to phase out the rest of the message “musta practiced turning on torrents for hours”. The match itself wasn’t heavily laggy, just that slight bit of lag you get in 9 out of 10 matches. Not my fault he woke up U1 w/ Balrog.
I am getting a LOT of hatemail tonight. People have such shitty attitudes. If you care enough about the game to get emotional over it, ask for advice from the strong players you lose to.
I know a lot of people ignore that from experience, but not everyone does. I don’t Either way that’s better than whining and namecalling.
I rage quit for the first time in about a year today. I hope it appears here so I can once again see an A ranked Blanka move at 4 frames a second, instantly recover from everything and have unblockable jump ins that are immune to every anti air.

I have sat and lost 20+ matches in ranked and endless with not a twitch of rage, losing to good players is fine, its the pure nonsense that happens with lag especially grapplers and charge characters. EDIT: removed the Vega part due to butthurt.
And how exactly does Vega benefit from lag? With those one frame links and whiff punishes and all he needs.
You don’t understand what I was getting at. Stop thinking of someone playing Vega as he should be played. By benefit from lag I mean benefits from ABUSING lag.
Take blanka, offline hes punishable and you can correctly block his rainbow ball by watching his angle in the air… now try that with terrible lag.
There is a reason a Blanka who has nothing but random bullshit can still reach A class online, given a bad enough connection and any amount of patience he will win.
Now of course you could say , block, play properly and punish the randomness but online in bad enough lag that all goes out the window.
I shouldn’t have mentioned Vega, I just ran in to one that grinded my gears something wicked.
Anyway I was only having a rant, you’d swear I called offline Vega braindead or something.
Is it wrong that I mute every single fraudulent online Blanka player so I don’t have to remember their names? Lol. Honestly, playing an idiotic Blanka on lag is a waste of time and you can lose to it, too.
Has anyone watched any pro player playing against online Blankas? They hate it… You can tell they want to yell obscenities but they have to keep it classy for the stream.

It sounds like he mutes them so when they enter your lobby they will have the muted symbol.
Muted symbol = Laggy Blanka

Just still makes no sense. Vega has little to nothing to abuse in lag. If I were to name ten characters that can abuse lag well, he’d not be among them.

Besides I don’t really wanna hear a Blanka player trash talking to me while he is abusing lag tactics. That has happened in the past. Nobody likes to play laggy Blankas. I think even the best of players can agree that a little bit of delay makes Blanka salt inducing.

Might be matchup specific I dunno, vs Guy downback and mp spam in lag is hell coupled with random ex through wall dives. You’re still are taking what I said far too seriously. I guess I find charge characters harder than others in bad lag.
