Guile setup works currently even with 9f start-up (1f link arg), I’m pretty sure with 7f start-up it will work even easier, unless they gave it some unknown hitbox nerf.

Yes, the wake up options for Gen can be quite weak. I suggest you check out Ryan Hart’s blog about top 5 tips to SF4. There is a short section on crouch tech options that I think will be helpful for you especially when you are coming from SF2 background (like myself). I also have difficulties with people mashing through my block strings so don’t worry its not only pertaining to yourself. Are the opponents mashing through on hit or block? If they are mashing through on hit really nothing much you can do except to perfect your 1f timing on the combos. Plinking is essential skill to master IMO.
Also, getting thrown of wake up? Try to be a scrub sometimes and mash EX-gekiro! You will be surprised with the results…

Only possible way to link off of mantis cr.mp would be either on CH (+3) or very meaty (+4). It is not possible to link st.mk under most circumstances (maybe meaty CH or trade lol).

Upon some of my training room adventures I have stumbled on some MORE potential cross up Oga’s (I love those things) BUT I don’t want to go to the effort of compiling another monster list if it’s been done already.
(correctly spaced) KKK cr.lk PPP Cr.hk puts Ryu at a nice range for a cross up Oga. I’m happy to investigate this juicy little number further, but I just want to know if it’s been done already.

also its already pretty difficult to get a crane cr lk in a match. would linking crane stand jab to cr short mess up the spacing for the cross up oga? I think a good way to land those crane cr lk is a jump in or empty jump, the empty jump is riskier because its -7 on block. The jump in is safer because if the opponent blocks you can use a mantis short instead.
