If you do st.MP after dash, then you are looking at a 3f link. Dash animation can REALLY throw you off sometimes though.
i was playing around in training mode and i found a way to hit [M]st.mp meaty against crouching Akuma so it can be up to +9 on hit:
[C]j.hk, [M]st.mp, [M]U2
[C]j.hk, [M]st.mp, [M]cr.hk/cr.hp etc
if you cancel into hands the first hit misses so there maybe some extra frame advantage after hands as well.
Is there a video demonstrating the timing of the hands FADC combo? Also what should I FADC into ie what attack has the fastest start up? My guess is either c.jab, c.short or s.Fierce but man I cant get it it connect ever =\ I should say that I’ve played Gen for only 3 days now and he’s fun for me now in AE I just need some things to practice. All my combos are simple 3 hitters and seem to do very little damage. I end up going every round to the time runs out because I cant seem to do enough damage to take out my opponent lol Fought this guy on PSN named Blackdragon1001 and even managed to get a few wins but it took way too much work.
As far as showing the players hands? Maybe. I have a combo break down video that shows it in real time, then breaks it down move by move. It’s 20 minutes long. Doesn’t cover every combo, and it’s from super. But it can help as it’s pretty much the same thing. When you FADC you will most likely use s.MP then TC2. Well s.MP after FADC is in my video…

Thanks for the video this will really help =D Learning how to FADC for the first time so these will come in handy.
Can’t remember if this has been noted, but vs some of the characters. c.LK, c.LP, s.MP, TC2, LK Gekiro works on them. (situational)
c.LK, c.LP, TC2, LK Gekiro = 210 Dmg / 313 Stun
c.LK, c.LP, s.MP, TC2, LK Gekiro = 229 Dmg / 361 Stun
Here is a list of the characters I could land it consistently on:
***Note some of these characters that aren’t listed or are crouching only because s.HP wouldn’t reach, or after trying multiple times I couldn’t get it to link. ***
Abel - Both
Sim - Standing Only
Dee Jay - Crouching Only
H.Honda - Crouching Only
**Makoto - Crouching Only **
Dudley - Standing Only
Akuma/Gouki - Crouching Only
Oni - Crouching Only
C.Viper - Crouching Only
M.Bison/Dictator - Crouching Only
Sagat - Crouching Only
Rufus - Crouching Only
T.Hawk - Crouching Only
I realize this list is limited and some may deem this useless. Remember character specific lists are best if you take your worst match-ups and focus on those characters. That way you are dealing more damage than before. Why bother remembering things for a character that you have no problem beating. So before you troll, remember that. Cheers.

in ssf4ae can any confirm if u have full metre do crane jumphkhk-mantis hp-mk-hand dash-hp-mkhand that take up all metre but i wanna know when udo that combo would it build another 2 more metre to dash agians
Nope. Gen doesn’t have that kind of meter building where he can use it and build more to continue to keep going.
i just wanna know what the hightest gen combo there is without super or ultra .highest i can do is 22 or 24 but i think his can do 27 or 28 hit in ssf4ae
can any1 confirm this combo in ssf4 i know mantis crlklpstlpcrlkmk work but need to walk forward to land targot combo crlkmk but i think u can ex hand after crmk if u can it be awersome to c it then mkhand follower up
Can you please start spacing out the combos. it’s really annoying to have to break it down.
ssf4ae hold forward crlk-crlp-stlp-crlk-crmk- super or exhand-stmk-hand i havnt test out geiko but i dnt think it will work out of range to land it
sorry, why do you like that weird combo? besides being really difficult, the damage probably sucks with 4 light hits at the beginning
i was jsut playing around in training mode and find u can do it that all but it might be useful for mix up poke mind game.
i wondering if this work vs player hand-fadc-mantis u2 it seem it work in training mode bc i got trouble land ex hand mantis u2 and some char eg ryu ken trying to find new way to land it sorry for noob question
mantis j.mk > c.lk xx c.mk > gekiro (248 dmg/306 stun)
Pretty useful combo actually in order to ‘fake’ a crane j.mk in that you can make the mantis j.mk look like it will cross-up while it doesn’t necessarily has to. You can also replace gekiro with mantis super. Very easy to do and I find it quite useful at times to fuck up my opponents block direction.
idk if this combo is post yet but i find it useful say u do crane j.mk cross over most gen will do lk-mp or mantis crhk but i find after crane j.mk u can do change to mantis target combo crlk-mk-light gekio it does more dmg then crlk-mp in ssf4ae
i jsut find this easy to land then after crane mk cross over change to mantis hpmkgeiko or hand whatever
Even doing Crane j.MK, TC2, Gekiro works well.
I’m still learning Gen and while I win a lot I know I’m doing it the hard way lol
My problem with switching from Crane jump M.K cross up to Mantis s.hpxx s.m etc is that half the time it doesn’t switch stances and I get super slow Crane s.hp overhead and get punished severely =\ I might have to try the target combo because either way it won’t leave me so open.
Is the TC2 the s.hpxxs.mk? I’m not well versed in Gen’s moves yet =\
It’s the stance glitch, you actually have to wait a split second if you stance change in the air. It’s pretty stupid and fucks us all over sometimes especially considering how bad it is to use an overhead or low after a jump in lol
