Everyone remembers the bullshit PPP s.mk xx hands FADC KKK c.lk PPP U1 combo from Yeb’s sig. I’ve been messing around with it more and it’s pretty darned reliable in the corner. Balls-easy too now that we can cancel on the fourth handslap (which means we have an eternity to switch to crane). 390 dmg, about 100 more than we’d get from our regular followups after a s.mk xx hands FADC. Just thought I’d throw it out there because I figure if I forgot about it some of you might have too. 400 dmg off a poke ain’t that shabby
yeah, once you get it down, timing is really not that strict in the corner… easy… the most difficult part is not the ultra juggle, its the link into cLK… at least imo
i’ve been switching style during the 4 hands hits so when i FADC i’m aready in crane stance, and execution wise i found it a little easier
it also work midscreen against some characters (those who dont fall so far) like ryu, timing is strict but definitely not impossible if you practice on that
I perform it the same way. Crane stance while slapping then just fadc and plink the c.lk
If you do a deep mk hands you can cancel on 4th hit and land it mid-screen. But as a max-range poke I can’t even catch Zangief mid-screen with it unless I cancel on the first handslap. I need to practice both versions but fuck me it’s hard to cancel on that first handslap and immediately switch stances and link that c.lk. It’ll take me a while to find a rhythm and commit it to muscle memory
yeah if its not deep it doesnt work midscreen (on the few characters who allow this) and even in the corner timing is more strict
but yes, you can do it out of a poke in the corner, midscreen more for punishing
Ive been trying KKK s.lp, c.lk, FADC hit to PPP Super/ Ultra 1 and I cant seem to get the FADC hit out. Is my execution that bad or can you just not do it?
pretty sure you can’t do s.LP, c.LK FADC.
why wouldnt he be able to? its the trial mode combo, except with a st.lp added in.

The s.lp, c.lk is a chain and cannot be cancelled/FADC’d. Must be c.lk only!
This goes for the same reason you can’t cancel into super from the c.lk if it is in a chain.
out of a FADC’d crane cLK you can only go to crane U1, and its pretty easy (although it does really bad damage)… mantis ultra wont connect, mantis super is unavailable after FADC =P
i had no idea you couldnt fadc a chained move. learned something new
i just found the best combo for Gen on deejay only (Damage/Stun) without super or ultra but all the 4 meter bar
the combo does 417 Damage and 682 Stun : (Corner) Crane Jump Hp Mantis Mp (Move a little closer)Mp Hp Hands 5hits Fadc Mp MK Hands (Mp) Mk Hands 1hits Fadc Mp Mk Hands (Mp) Cr.Hp
i think i’d go for super straight away if i have 4 bars
anyway that almost 700 stun is impressive, and if it actually leads to stun the opponent wih the next combo, the whole thing might be even more dangerous than having used the super
but… such a difficult combo ._.

Corner cross-up [C] 1x j.hk can land on either side depending on if you hit late or early and still have enough hitstun to combo off of. So hypothetically a meaty jump-in j.hk in the corner can lead to four different outcomes - (1) cross-up land in front, (2) cross-up land in back (3)non-cross up double hit for fuzzy guard setup/block string (4)Safe jump and block.

Did you test this out on the right side as well? The corner properties are different for some reason. Think Capcom would have fixed it by now… but no!

Well nothing new, just summing it up, its not “impossible” to do honestly once you get it down, thats a very good punisher.
And its generally more dangerous than any Hands>fadc follow up, so i personally think it might be worth it, especiallyu with a decently full revenge meter

Not that it matters or anything, but I’m just happy to say I can do most combos starting with whatever,FADC into s.mp,s.hp link light gekiro. I’m getting the handle of Super Gen, And the more I get in depth with him the more I realize he isn’t as bad as all us vanilla main’ers thought.
