I’ll agree with you on Guile but I find Deejay to be pretty easy to deal with. Ex Dread kick is even punishable by Ultra and his fireball is nowhere near as hard to get around as Guiles. Guile, Honda and Dhalsim are really the only matches that give me a hard time. Ryu, Chun T Hawk and Vega are annoying but still winnable. Bison and Rog I think are very close to 5-5.
dudley’s OS makes dictator fight become 5-5, but imo it’s slightly on balrogs favor, same for ryu and honda, now for counterpicks basically, Guile, Dalshim, Chun-li, Abel, Rose,they are quite cheap against Dudley…
Rose and Chunli are dudley´s worst matchup, im pretty sure those are not better than 7-3.
Guile, dictator, akuma, dhalsim and abel are 6-4 but you need to play it PERFECT to even stand a chance against a top level of one of those.
I wont believe dudley-boxer is 5-5 until I see the game released in japan or pr balrog fighting a good dudley because this matchup its fucked up right now at least on my experience fighting very very good balrogs.
Maybe I need more time because the best european balrogs are playing him since vanilla but atm i just cant believe this to be even.
I feel pretty confident against the rest of the cast even if they have slight advantage its not as big as the matchups I mentioned.

If Abel has an advantage vs Dudley, it’s very slight imo. It’s basically who gets the first knockdown since neither of them have good wake up.

Rog’s chip isn’t safe, focus that shit. All his focus breakers are unsafe either on block or on reaction.
Rog’s sweep is a free focus crumple.
TAP is safe armor break. He can just throw it out if he thinks you’ll focus. You can hit him out of it if you’re quick about it.

At the right distance rush punches are unpunishable, and doing focus is very risky.
Saying rogs sweep is a free crumple its lol, at best its just focus and backdash just to remind him he cannot spam it that much.

Exactly. That’s the point. He has to GUESS. If he guesses wrong you ultra it on reaction. Also you can counter-hit TAP with a focus attack which is pretty silly.
Rog’s best answers to focus are on reaction straight xx super, EX Torpedo/Overhead, or U1. Everything else has problems.
Yeah after looking at the frame data chained s.mk won’t work. At best it will trade (but the trade will be vastly in your favor). But I think chained jabs should beat it.
Why is charging focus risky? Also you can neutral jump when you think Rog is going to do a straight and get a free hit-confirmed jump in combo. If you’re ballsy you can try to stuff it with s.hp or s.hk xx EX MGB (but you’ll lose to EX Rush punch obviously)
I do this all the time. Rog’s sweep is always a free crumple if you time the release right. Or you can just FADC to s.hk xx EX MGB. Rog’s sweep isn’t really good unless you can make them scared to focus.
In my experience his hitbox is actually easy to combo but he pushes you back on wakeup which makes stuff fuck up on wakeup.
Edit: Note that I’m not saying Focus > Balrog. I’m just putting it out there that if you guys are having huge problems with Rog’s sweep or straights, focus is a good counter. It forces him to change his playstyle in a way that’s beneficial to you.
Now if you were complaining about Balrog defensive jab spam then I could totally get on that boat.

Oddly enough, there’s hardly any Rog vs Dudley matches between tourney players recorded. All the Rogs are West Coast and the Dudley mains are East in the US. I want to see some vids of this.
Edit: Balrog’s jab is bogus. I use to be on the dealing end of the jab, but now I see why that shit pisses everyone off. I apologize to whoever I hit with Rog’s jabs in SF4 online.
Abel/Dud is 5-5. It is a dumb shit fight, but it’s even.
Dud/Rog isn’t all that bad, IMO. Not great but very winnable.
Just yesterday I started doing much better against Rog players and I think its just seeing patterns of when they have TAP charged or when they plan to throw out the rush punches. Focusing a rush punch has always worked out pretty well for me.
But the Abel matchup I do not understand at all. It would be cool if you could beat me down for a bit HAV and then give me pointers on what the hell i can do.

While I was trying out Dudley I never run into good Rogs! 
Though Rog’s normals and sweep are insanely good no matter how you look at it. I need to get into this match more.
There’s a Youtube floating around (I’ll see if I can find it) that gives a bit of help. Basically you have to be doing meaty overhead to Abel on wakeup so that it’s in its active frames when Abel pops U2. then you can mash out the s.mk for the target combo, or even mash out Super.
just for the record, that was only one match and i think that his rose is still more than capable of fuckin me up, but when i lost to him in teams and i got bodied by another rose shortly thereafter i did my homework on that match relatively hard.
i think Abel is 6-4 honestly. at max range abel controls the whole ground game with step kick, its extremely hard to get around it and the second you block that move you are considerably fucked especially if you have no meter. also in terms of wakeup its alot easier to escape dudley’s mixups than abel’s since he has crossups
I really doubt dudley has any 7-3’s ive never felt a matchup was that bad when fighting any character as dudley, but no doubt that they are 6-4.
maybe i haven’t played many good roses, but i’ve never felt like it was a 7-3 match up, unlike gief vs gat in vanilla.
i wouldn’t put chun as 7-3 either. The matches aren’t easy, but they’re not that impossible.
