SSF4 Akuma thread

I’d like to see his Alternatve costume completely replaced. Even if they just removed the pretzel and closed up his trousers a bit for a Ryu-esque Alt, he’d resemble that win pose he had from Alpha 3. Simple, but effective.

THIS! cannot stress this enough. Ban him for online like Tekken did with Jinpachi of course. Maybe allow in player matches though. :looney:

akuma needs next to 0 changes, hes fine as is.(ie really fucking good.) i cant believe you guys are asking for buffs if any!

I don’t think anyone is seriously saying he needs a buff. I am just curious to see what Ultra they give him that isn’t hideously unbalanced. Something as hard to land as the KKZ would be the only thing I can imagine that wouldn’t be broken out of his previous Supers.

Ok, my bad. Sorry for trying to be a smart arse. But find me one competitive match where this has been done and be done for a reason? I bet you cant, therefore it doesnt need to be removed.

He needs more HP and less damaging attacks, maybe just a little weaker.

Getting rid of the Super version of the raging demon is one thing. I cannot agree more that only one is needed. Granted, you’ll be throwing out EX air fireballs/other EX moves a lot so rarely would you see the super anyways. But in the rare case that super shouldn’t be ANOTHER RAGING DEMON.

I’m definitely down for the Super fireball/Super air fireball being the super. I also agree that the inputs should go the way they were first put in. HCBx2+p (or maybe forward to be a bit more lenient) and in air QCFx2+p

As for the second ultra, either the Misogi or the KKZ. they shouldn’t do too much damage, though. Akuma (when played correctly) has some of the best combos/tools and punishes mistakes extremely well (as his current incarnation in the game). if the new ultra would be combo-able, it should do mediocre damage. I can’t imagine EX Air fireball -> s.HK -> c.LK -> LK Tatsu -> HP Shoryu -> FADC -> Misogi and end up doing like 800+ damage. That would be too broken and from the looks of this thread people are already saying he should stay the same.

his stamina and stun are fine. don’t mess with them. akuma is meant to be like that because his damage output, combos, and tools are all extremely useful and lethal when used to counter the appropriate situation.

Of course, the misogi needs to be an overhead. and the Hyakkishu P or K (not the throw, heh.) -> Super air fireball would be nice.

And yeah, change his alt costume.

only thing i would add to akuma is a fireball ultra/super. And maybe some new taunts,costumes etc.

Akuma already has a non-EX 3triple hit FB. He doesn’t need a FB super (essentially the same).

Akuma like almost every other cast in SF4 has a lesser version super of their Ultra. 2 Raging demons?! well uh…yeah?! Cuz Ryu has a FB super, FB ultra. Sagat has Tiger Genocide super, Tiger Destruction(same movement) Ultra. Etc…you get the point.

Akuma IS fine. Other characters should be brought up to HIS / Ryu’s level at this point. I think if everyone was balanced around Ryu/Akuma then SSF4 would be pretty damn balanced and still very much fun.

IDK. I think his Ultra should pass through projectiles maybe not the entire ultra but perhaps the beginning animation.

Please Capcom, leave Akuma alone. This is the most balanced Akuma has ever been. Out of the high tier characters, he is the most balanced.

Worry about buffing the low tiers and leave Akuma alone.

Not really. The raging demon is only like 4 frames of invincibility, for a fb to pass through you in around 4 frames is pretty unlikely, unless you’re really close and you predict a fb and you’re close enough to just grab him, like how a regular grab can sometimes just grab (ryu for example) right after he throws the fb and the fb will just go through you. I don’t really consider that to pass through projectiles.

make his raging demon like in HDR.

The only thing I’d ask for is his ddd+3p move. Just because it’s pretty. But not as an ultra that’d be broke as shit.

Akuma has 1~6f invincible :wonder: Chunli has 1~7f invincible and slips through FBs… does he really need 1-11f like rog?

Yeah but Chun can do it on reaction. Akuma has to get a lucky guess.
