Honda is sooo dumb lol -.- I have no idea where to go as far as the matchup… And tips?!
Anyone have any general tips for Bison? I really feel like he can just get away with throwing out whatever he wants because none of it seems to be punishable.
Superior footsies and learn to DP her jumps.
such a simple comment…but seriously its a naturally 4-6 match therefore superior footsies are only going help you that much till that she gets in and wreck havoc.
haven’t seen any good cammy lose to akuma vid yet.
only sako owning tokido pretty much and maybe sanford kelly owning akuma?
The matchup is still 5/5. If you can’t DP her jumps it’s 6/4, but matchups can’t be calculated because players don’t do the correct things to optimize the outcome.
Thanks all for the rog info!!
if you watch smoai’s youtube videos he has footage of tokido mopping up 10k bp+ cammy’s on xbox live, and over there
the cammys are pretty competent. On top of what Shinakuma204 said, most of the matchup lies in your ability to bait her to do something by faking demonflip/airfireballs and anti-airing or punishing accordingly. Like, doing a short demonflip palm to try and bait her to try and DP/jumpin/etc, as then using that as an opportunity to either uppercut, or get in and start a combo. I’ll try and post a video as an example when I get the chance…
EDIT: Also, I think the best oki option vs. cammy is to try and dive kick OVER her on wakeup and get the DP to whiff, then try and walk over and sweep her and setup another oki situation, rather than trying to land the dive kick on top of her, since the cannonspike has such high priority. I still need to experiement with the matchup myself though.
^^ This. Though the timing is a bit messed up since she gets up slightly late. How about in your next vid, you try throwing one or two quick jabs to help people see what the timing is for the DF on her wakeup? Or at least, to help those of us with slow eyes!
I stuffed a couple of Cammy’s SRKs (that she performed on wakeup after I sweeped her after a lk tatsu) with an mk demon flip dive kick. The brush effect for her reversal appeared but I still killed it and was able to launch into a combo.
I’d like to know if we can consistently replicate this or if anyone has a good handle on the timing required to pull this off reliably. I suspect it would be invaluable in this match-up. I often opt for a sweep after a lk tatsu against Cammy and figuring this reversal stuffer out would be a great way to keep her pinned.
smart cammy won’t dp after the set play of chp, light tatsu sweep into m.demon flip
they can just spiral arrow out.
at least its good against dp friendly cammy.
because smart cammy always does the same thing every single time a certain situation occurs.
also, all smart cammys play the same way and react the same way to a certain situation.
so you shouldn’t even mention how to stuff cammy’s SRK. because come on, smart cammy spirals out. you don’t even need to know what to do in the possibility of a cammy who actually does SRK in that situation, because no good cammy players will ever do it ever.
How to stuff her SRK isn’t worth mentioning? Sorry, but I disagree wholeheartedly. Its useful information. Furthermore, you’d be surprised what a downed Cammy will attempt on wake-up when she’s got a couple of stocks on hand to cancel with. A good example is . . . a wake-up SRK. And, if she doesn’t perform a wake-up SRK, the stuffing attributes of a properly placed dive kick means that its safely going to pin down a lot of other options she may have, even if she just plain choses to block.
The point is that any information is good information, regardless of the match-up. As for good Cammy’s not attempting a wake-up SRK ‘ever’, I think you’ll find thats not going to be an across the board rule either. Cammy can afford a calculated guess now and then due to having ample health to roll some dice. Claiming an opponent won’t do something irrespective of their perceived skill I think is a pretty weighty assumption.
You should be quoting Ero_Oyaji and not FPStud since he’s clearly being sarcastic.
My reading comprehension is atrocious. Colour me retarded XD
lol at how gamogo said precisely what i meant.
Some info on the blanka matchup.
-Bait slide/ex ball with fbs to then dp the ball or punish the slide
-When blanka has no meter rush him the fuck down. Meaty dive kick beats electricity.
-When blanka has bar repeat first step or safejump to bait ex-upball
-If blanka uses U2 use ex-df between groundstomps to get a free combo
-It’s worth it to learn to punish blanka ball with st.block, dash forward, sweep
-Cr.hp is your friend
Honda
-Make him afraid of using ex headbutt: do an early jump and jumpback to get a full combo or you can be risky/spend meter and do a shoryu on his wake up.
-Same as for blanka, without bar you can rush him down, keep it on the ground because his nj.hp is gnarly.
-Punish random buttsplash with backdash -> cr.jb BnB or focus if you wanna be risky and hope it doesn’t autocorrect the wrong way.
-Punish random headbutt with dp, strict timing and if you’re unsure just block.
-Try keep zoning to a limit, his jumpin range and damage are sick.
Learned these matchups in particular because I had the most trouble facing these chars.
what do u guys usually do vs adon?
for me, during the first part of the round I zone him, a lot. then when he gets U1 things get a bit tricky. I mostly dont use meter vs him, so i can get super and punish that dumb jaguar kick and tooth.
any further help?
^ Ive yet to play a good Adon, in all honesty. Basically every single one I play does the stupid, predictable and mashing shit. Even this 17k BP one from Japan, all he did has spam moves when close.
When I find a good one I’ll let ya know I guess xD but zoning is always a great idea
The no1 player in my region has recently switched to Adon.
I’ll get some matches in and try to take notes.
