Here is a question for this thread - what do you guys do after ex GH? What are some best options? st mp? cr jab? jab SPD? It sucks it doesnt knock down, but how do you continue pressure after it?
IMO, your best option is to do nothing, and just let them push themselves into the corner. Everything else is just a guess, so I donāt think one is really better than the other. If you can read and train your opponent, all of those options (cr.LK, st.MP, U2, SPD etc) are equally useful.

Maaan, that doesnāt matter. Pad warriors kick just as much ass as stick users. In fact, a lotta people say Gief is better on pad, anyway.
Oh I know that but SBO is arcade exclusive so that would give me problems. Well they announced the location areas lets see what changes they are going to come out with.

After watchin that ā¦I noticed vance was pixles from staying in winners where it would be feiās and yunsā¦tough break for weapons facing tokido but good show from the giefsā¦ point was that if you watched all the top gief fightsā¦they got eliminated by bad matchups and not from bad playā¦and at this type of level you could play gief āperfectā and not win. I doubt they would re-re-nerf gief in AE 2012.

You know, I thought the same thing for awhile after they announced AE 2012, but I think capcom doesnāt really want Zangief to be too good, so I wouldnāt really be too surprised if he gets a slight nerf, but heāll most likely stay the same.
Are you beating Feis using pure footsies? any mixup tips. I cant seems to hold ground vs rekkas so i end up in the corner. Once im in the corner i tend to lose really quick vs fei and his damage is so high it seems like he can comeback regardless of how much of a life lead i have.
Playing footsies vs him is a problem for me. So if i get in footsies range to punish crouching HP with standing MK or clk os exgh then im in lp rekka sweet spot thats totally safe and pushes me into the corner on landed rekka series if mid screen. So i have been trying to fight him kind of like i fight ken with footsies playing just outside of the 1 lp rekka range to bait that so i can punish it with a mp. But i just cant seem to hold my own vs him any tips would be helpfull.
lol mixup tipsā¦Gief is all about footsies now if you have problems with characters like Chun, Fei, Bison, Guy, Yun, Yang its because youāre footsies arenāt at the level they need to be the days where Gief won off pure mixups are gone now if you have bad footsies you have a bad Gief plain and simple

the same thing you do vs everyone elseā¦you s.mp everything, s.lk wiff punish on c.fp/c.mp, you walk back and forth to fuck with their spacing so if they rekka it either wiffs or its too close and you spd it besides that once you get the life lead the match becomes 8-2 in your favor and you just turtle your ass off
yea and its evident cause vangiefs like to presure and set the tempo and he got anit-aired almost everytimeā¦i think fei has to be treated somewhat like thawk and chunā¦BUT i still think they gotta make his footie game a tiny bit better when the rebalance in 2012ā¦like 10-20 more dmg on St.Mp?
