I for one…DO NOT CARE ABOUT BANDWAGONERS.
All i care about is making my character BETTER. Vega needs a solid reversal. Now, if they keep it this way, he will get one.
People arent gonna become super good with vega just because of one move. Bandwagoners arent gonna become good because of one move. Just like any other characters…they’ll drop vega when they start losing all the time.
Wanting Vega to not have a solid reversal just so people wont use him is really selfish. I get compliments all the time about my Vega, both in tournaments and random online play. Does it make me feel good? Yes. Does it matter in the end? No.
Let me ask you guys this…
Would you rather be known as a guy that has a great Vega but never EVER win any big tournaments? Or would you rather be known as a guy that has a great Vega that’s winning all the big tournaments?
For oldschool players like me…who have been playing seriously for the past 10 years going to tournaments n such…we all would choose the second.
I know people are gonna come in and try to argue saying “if you wanna win so badly why dont you play one of the top tier characters?” The answer is simple…Vega is my character and always will be. I want MY character to win.
I’ve also noticed that the people that wants to be “unique” are mostly people that just picked up the game when SF4 came out…I can safely assume that these new players just want to be “known” for something, even if they dont win anything just so that they can feel special about themselves.
And dont get me wrong, i’ve played against these anti invincibility ex st crowd, some of them are in fact good. So i do understand where they are coming from as to why they dont think its necessary.
But from a grand scheme of things, invincibility on ex-st IS needed to take him to that next level.
Like i said earlier…do you REALLY want to be just known as a “unique” player that never wins anything?
Just aside from your local tournies and the vega forums, no one really is gonna know who you are anyway until you start winning tourneys consistently or place extremely high in big ones. Wouldnt you rather be known for that instead?
