SSF4 AE Vega Changes

Well I went to Video 94, started the match against abel with an ex fba with mask on. did the same at my house 1 minute before I posted with some shitty paint work. Both were taken on my itouch, which isn’t known for it’s camera. but I think it basically got the job done.

Like I said though, it shouldn’t change the reference points of the letters, (which is what I am using to draw to the conclusion of less damage).

Resolution wont change the positon of the health bar in relation to the name, but if there was a damage nerf then it should be in the guide book in that youtube link.

The overall changes are fkn ass. Still dont know wtf ono is thinking.

I know you probably know this but just to make sure…when you first enter in tranning mode it is set by default in “counterhit”…so you can perform combos that normaly can’t…did you remember to turn “counterhit” off before testing this?..sorry for the double post above…

The wall bounce air throw (28k) has increased range from 0.60 to 0.77. —> Izuna drop increased ranged ?

The super move throw range increase from 0.80 to 0.91 _ > Flying Barcelona Special increased range this much ?

It’s definitely a buff, but we do not use these moves frequently now because of its useless ??? —> Capcom want Vega to do wall drive more ??

by my calculations EX FBA got nerfed 20 damage down to 180. The amount of damage apprears almost identical to the damage done by cMKxxLP Version RCF which is 180. If it can grab ducking people then it’s worth the trade.

Can we get confirmation on what this is? I havent heard anything about izuna drop change before from playtests or dev announcements.

I’d like to know this too for a definite.
I know the dev blog did say they haven’t listed all of the changes though so it is a possibility.

If he can grab ducking opponents easier, it would be nice. I’d love it if he could grab Sakura out of her bastard cr.HP but that’s merely a pipedream.

Yes, it means that the Izuna drop range has increased. If you look at the frame data taken from the Capcom leak, you’ll see that anytime there’s a throw (blue box), there’s a range number written underneath. Basically, a larger throw box meaning the range will be better. Vega already can grab Sakura out of cr.HP if it’s not absolutely perfectly timed.

I know he can. But the increased range would make it easier mayhaps. Is all I’m saying.

Do we actually have hitboxes for AE yet aside the ones in the Dev blog?
I’m hoping that when the disc version comes out people manage to break out the boxes and finally get one for scarlet terror.

It would only take 10 minutes or less to get used to any change of any character and stop bitching about it. It’s pretty hard to fuck up a character unless you remove something or make it worse. Not that I give a shit anymore and haters get wrecked online anyways. The better question is, is Crapcom capable of making a half decent character or would I be stuck with bullshit where game play revolves around not being able to do something in certain situations as in how this zoning shit per character thing is created. Probably wont get it anyways, PSN will be up in god knows how long and haven’t really played MK9 much online. I see a few new characters, but shouldn’t every character get a new ultra as well to make another sequel?

tatsu grabbed seth from just slightly farther away.

It’s good to keep in mind that if the numbers are correct on the grab range buffs of normal Barcelona, 0.77 is close to .8, which is the grab range of vega’s flying Barcelona super. So that is probably the new throw hitbox give or take.
