I’ll just reierate that point:

The Blanka matchup is Lime-Green suit Elton John.

Unapologetically so.

I just finished 4 First to ten sets. Yun and Yang match-up work… here are the results

10Hawk 2-Yang *8 Win Streak
10Hawk 1 Yang *9 Game Streak
10Hawk- 5-Yun *10 game streak
10Hawk-3 Yun *5 Game streak

These matches were pretty simple… Yang has more options but he loses to footsies HARD. My footsies had to be really good. A majority of those matches I pushed them in the corner and LEFT them there. Not being in the face but keeping my land advancement and forcing him to jump and take risks. Overall nothing was really a problem. Yangs wake up is weird… There are times where its like hes still recovering from his wake up and I cant do anything about it. He won a few matchs because of whiffed spd when he was just standing there…REALLY weird… either way I just respected his wake up and/or just did a sweep and the second hit hit him. Overall very easy
Yang is scary when he knocks you down…his 50/50 is rediculous

This match was a lot harder but after a few key adjustments I was very manageable but still VERY hard.
-Keep him at mid range at ALL TIMES
-Watch his feet during footsies. The start up on his normals are slow enough where you can react to them
-One palm combo into ultra hit is GAME OVER at 35-40% Dont even bother. I mean bother in case they make a mistake but…
-Do not fall into a pattern
-Punish lunge EVERYTIME not every once in a while.
-Yun hurts…be careful how much damage you are willing to sacrafice remember… 150 chip makes T.Hawk a normal character.
-Yuns 50/50 is really predictable…

Universal notes and tips (involving both)
-Everytime I had a life lead of 50%+ I won the match
-Ultra 2 is just better for both characters its less effective in Yang but its still good enough where it works
-Ultra 1 is useless against the twins. T.Hawk does not have any tricks to make the set up a complete guess. Basiclly if they see you conder spire or forward dash they will jump or back dash and you will look retarded and most likely get killed

  • I used ALL of thawks normals and they were all effective in some sort of way.
  • FRAMMMEEE TRAAPPPS: Light Conder Spire if immune to sweep if ranged right and creates a spd trap.
    -When you do aggro, Thurst peak if your best freind
    -In max range situations I did whiff Light DP instead of Conder Spire. They have no answer to Light DP->Back dash or atleast from what I saw I did it a lot and they had no answer.
    -SAVE METER!!! EXDP saved me so many times.
    -Jump in medium punch stuffs there DP if timed right.
    -FORCE THEM TO USE BARS TO DEAL WITH YOU.

The matchups seem to be more footsies and spacing confidence.

Against SAGAT

  • build up EX-Meter to pass throguh Tiger Shots
  • best pokes against him are; cr.MK, st.MP, HP and HK(especially after Sagat’s whiffed HK)
  • always be ready to do a SPD or ULTRA(if possible) after whiffed Tiger Uppercut’s.
  • a long grind of footsie battle of pokes and spacing. Be ready for a long match…
  • ULTRA 2 would be ideal for he will usually jumpback when you get knockdown…

Ex dive makes Abel even easier. If you think Abel is going to do a wheel kick and you have meter, just do a jump back and see what he does.

Saving meter for Ex Spire is useless. EX Spire is a horrible move. Its punishable at any range for sagat unless you do it close but a sagat is not going to be retarded enough to do a tiger shot that close unless they are a xbl scrub…
HP is ok in footsies. I still recommend avoid Roundhouse even with the buff unless to anti air him…
Your momentum also has to be toward the opposite corner…
Ultra 2 is meh… I think Ultra 1 is better. Ill put up some sagat matchs up now actualy on XBL… In fact…yeah…ill. do that using the replay channel function

Vega and bison are the 5-5 matchups that hawk always lose lmao

vega is annoying, always lose to that shit, his normal are too good and hes fast is hard to get in, bison is too good as well, very fast is hard to stay close

Well they aren’t 5-5 matchups so that could be why they are hard.

Bison is 5-5 IMO. You can play footsies with him and when you knock him down you can os ex spire to beat all of his options.

vega is 7-3 for vega in super. my opinion.

vega is no fireball user en hawk got some buffs against fireball users, so no change here.

Vega is annoying and you lose to it because he beats hawk 7-3 =/

Bison is 5-5… He gets knocked down and its game over 80% of the time.

You can command grab out of Sciccors on start up
You can Ultra 2 crusher on start and while its active
You can Stand Strong Demon Jumps…
You can Safe Jump EX Scissor
You can Jab him out of Roundhouse
Light CS Trades with roundhouse and its in your favor
You can SPD unsafe scissors AND jab him out of them OR Cr. Forward…

It’s only slightly in his favor though. Still a winnable matchup.

Its a momentum fight. If a good bison rushes you down there is not much you can do considering your only VIABLE wake up option is EX DP.

Bison has beter footsies too. Im not saying its a bad matchup but its pretty even. Both have viable tools that work on eachther.

I’ve been having decent success against yun’s with hawk just by spamming random st. mp. it stops many many of his moves, including that low dive-kick(from a back dash away distance) that we’ve all grown to hate. it trades with lunge punches and beats many of his pokes, and is out of range of his hk sweep.

Fight many blanka yesterday and the matchup continues that same ASS from ssf4, cant punish and do anything, cant cross up after a knockdown because of the ex ball or the shock, cant punish any versions of the ball, the only thing hawk can punish is the ball in the corner but good blankas never will use this, and offcorse is very easy to blanka get out of the corner, sadly the ex dive lose clearly without trade for the eletricty (any version) and the horizontal ex ball on the wakeup.

You can punish FP and MP ball with sweep. I believe.

A blocked LP Blanka ball can’t be punished, but a blocked FP Ball can be punished with st.HK

Blocked MP Blanka ball can be punished with Sweep? Have to test that out.

i finish now fighting a blanka and just cant punish the fp ball with roundhouse, i dont think this is possible if he isnt close to the corner

and guys what is “Sweep”??? lol i dont speak english so is hard for me to understand some terms
