The only way she would get an OH is a IOH since it would require her to get in close an risk getting countered. Look at what we have now in nj.lk you have to get in then neutral jump(for some crappy damage) and hope they don’t AA you or just smack u since the hitstun is kind of short. The best we could hope for is more hit stun on it (I personally think nj.mk would make a good OH but dont think its gonna happen).
DJ you think rose’s U2 is free on ibuki, i always felt ibuki could handle it pretty well(thought of her as one of the best ppl at taking it out honestly) she has the kunai’s,ex.neckbreaker , U2(to stop the SSpark chase setup,etc), a well placed Super. I guess ibuki is pretty dependent on her meter to take out the U2 but when she has it Rose has be cautious to actually get some damage out of it. (I feel like this alot when i fight ibukis but maybe i just give her more respect since i try and play her as a 2nd). Dont get me wrong i know rose can be difficult for ibuki but i don’t think U2 is the reason for this.

I wasnt exactly asking for one (advertising i guess, but not asking). I was just trying to say that its really unlikely that we would get Peide as one, though it would be nice to have, it probably wont happen. I agree with you other things come before her getting an OH especially if the U2 nerf sticks.

IMO Rose will never have an overhead unless they do universal overheads in a future game like in 3s. Rose + overhead = Bison CvS2?
Ibuki really can’t do much against U2. At least how it is now. Especially if she’s going for target combos and resets. Kunai’s only go so far and just about any other thing you listed there is pretty risky for Ibuki. Add the fact Ibuki already has to work to get in safely on Rose and it’s just adding a problem.
I am with DJ though on Balrog needs a nerf. But Capcom won’t nerf Rufus/Balrog/Abel/Chun. At least a reasonable nerf. Either that or Rose needs a worthwhile reversal.

She’s needed this since vanilla. A solid invincable EX Spiral on Wakeup, or at least same properties with Super Armour. I don’t care if costs meter since she builds it at a fairly decent rate anyway.
I’d swap a decent reversal for the invincability on U2 any day.
If U2 can no longer be used on wake-up as an anti-whatever, at least make the orbs do more damage so your opponent will think a little harder about throwing those pokes out to nullify them. Maybe instead of 120 damage each, they can increase it to 180? Or would that be OP too? lol

The damage wont really matter if what im understanding has happened to U2 is right. It means U2 is going to be like Sim’s U1 execpt worse because it wont trade in to Rose’s favor as much and when it does it wont be for much as much damage or mind game setups. (I can see where your going with damage buff on U2, but it still wont be much help on the defensive end of things since most of the time they will only trade for one Orb or worse they will just grab you like i do when sim does a bad U1 and void th whole Ultra.)
@Shin Oni i know she has trouble getting in but i dont feel like that has anything to do with U2 it’s just rose’s pokes are genrally better than ibuki’s. I still feel that good ibuki can make a rose player with an active U2 very cautious when they have meter but thats my experince, your may be the opposite.
Personally, I hope we get just a little more distance on lk drill. Just a smidge. Maybe extend the hitbox a little bit. Oftentimes when I cross up into c.lp, c.lk, c.mp xx lk drill, the drill will whiff but it looks like it’s touching the opponent. -_-
the only thing I’d say you would have to worry about are EX slide and TK kunai/EX Kunai. Otherwise walking forward and getting ready to throw out st.MK seems to be great.
I will try that out next time i run into a ibuki. If the distance goes up won’t it become more punishable? Im asking i might be very wrong, but just figured thats what would happen that’s why i always preach about mk.SSpiral going down to 13-14f start up so that way we could use that when needed to finsh combos instead of burning meter on Ex. that could be used eslewhere.

According to the AE blog that was just revealed, it appears that Rose’s AE changes will be announced next week (11/15/10). Besides U2, could we possibly see other significant changes?

Rose doesn’t need much buffing/nerfing really. Outside of all her Fierce attacks and FA gaining a bit more range, she really is fine as is.
We’re in the lineup next week. I’m honestly pretty scared. :lol:
