TC is better but it still whiffs on characters even when it looks like it should hit. Also wondering what his bushin flip damage is now.
Well I’ve been playing Alpha recently and it used to missed in some instances so at least they made it better, In alpha off a counter hit mp the HP would miss, hell close st HP would miss on Karin all the time if she was crouching, in most cases I’m fine with what they did it for now cause it does hit more consistently .

deep elbow drop connects > cLP > cLP > TC > HP whiffs on crouching sagat (huge hurtbox) > fail
and it whiffs again half a minute later

I spent about eight hours at Chinatown Fair today. If you were watching the Sp00ky stream, only Dieminion and I played Guy. You also probably witnessed Dieminion whiffing a target combo (st.MP > st.HP) whiff on Liston’s crouching Sagat. :tdown:
AE Guy is awesome. A couple of notes:

[] cr.LK, which hits on the 3rd frame, is fantastic. Such a great momentum stopper. I think the hit and block advantage have remained the same. I didn’t find it easier to link st.MP after cr.LK.
[] st.MK (far) is so amazing now. I walked up to its optimal range and whored it out. It felt a lot like Fei’s cr.MP and Chun’s st.MP.
[] st.HK does feel slightly faster, but I didn’t use it too much.
[] cr.HK also feels slightly faster.
[] cr.MP still has its great anti-air hitbox. Cleanly beat Yang’s dive kick from up close. From where I hit Yang, I think cr.MP may have gotten an extra active frame. (Could be just me, though.)
[] As for Bushin Flip, I don’t think much has changed. However, I did find it more difficult to grab people from full screen.
[*] LP Hozanto is a little better on block. I mashed out cr.LK after the LP Hozanto, and it traded with one of Akuma’s light attacks.

Overall, I think Guy really hasn’t changed too much, but he’s definitely better.
I honestly wish TC did what it does A3 when its too far to connect cl st hp and that would be to do his Far HP instead, I’d be more than content with that then the occasional whiffing that still occurs
EX run > stop is really interesting. I absorbed a hit then scored an immediate counter hit. The recovery on the stop is REALLY FAST. Gonna experiment more with this on sunday, i have a couple of ideas

On certain characters, yes, it did connect.

From the vids it seems like guys lk tatsu doesnt go as high anymore … Can any one check if its possible to punish ryu c.mk with it now?.. It looks like its safe on block too…
Is the faster recovery only on EX Run Stop or on both.

Another big buff- cr.MKs range seems to have been increased.
It’s hard for me to say how much, since I never used it much in Super, but it’s good enough that I was walking forward a lot and using cr.MK to poke, something that would’ve never been viable back in Super.

Yup, that’s Kiryu Tsukimiya.
He has a 77% winning ratio, compared to Bonchan who has 73%. Although they don’t have a big ammount of fights. In super (console), Bonchan had like 6500PP. A pretty good ratio for Kiryu I guess, I wonder how it will progress.
only ex run stop. it’s really fast. i hope I’m right in thinking it recovers faster than normal run stop. if so I think you guys know where I’m going with this
