Guys really looks like it should work like this.Infact I talked to someone who played an early version of the game and he said that was how EX hozanto used to work.He said you couldnt throw any fireballs from that range because you could punish them on reaction.The Ryu matchup would probably be in Guys favour if that was how EX hozanto worked now,instead its heavily in Ryus favour now.

I think the new Ex run slide should be fine… if not better…than a projectile invincible ex-houzanto…

The new ex slide does sound good - it would probably be more useful to use that for punishing fireballs for a knockdown next to your opponent, unlike ex hozanto which would push your opponent away.

You mean cr. FP >> MP xx HP target combo? Or cr. FP >> LP xx MP xx HP xx HK target combo? And I wish Guy could link into his cr. FP. THAT would make for some hype combos.

Personally, I’d prefer pushing them to the corner than I would getting the knockdown next to them, but I can see why you’d want that. I don’t like the idea of needing to spend meter to stop them from spamming fireballs in the first place, but I suppose it is necessary. If the Hp Hozanto is really faster it might be just what we needed.

He means mpxxhp. Just a general rule of thumb that when someone says TC they mean the mp to hp one.

if short hurricane really did lose some lower body invincibility, does that mean that translation was right and it gained upper body invincibility? meaning it’s a legitimate anti air now if that’s true. obey, the next time you get a chance… test it when some one jumps in on you really deep just to be absolutely sure. it’d be great to have a guaranteed no meter anti air.

lots of use of cl. forward > TC on block and on hit by killerkai. in the 2nd video you also hear some one mention that hurricane has less recovery.

Also does Cl.HK not whiff anymore… after blocked SRKs…etc … I know its possible to get used to timing but you simply cant hit certain moves after you block it… Someone with access to AE pls chk it out

Another thing can someone check if TC connects on Dhalsim on Block?

On block hp still seems to whiff after a far TC attempt. It’s near the end against warahk.

It whiffed TWICE too :confused: Guess this means we’ll still have to rely on St. MPxx stuff on block.

people need to calm down… honestly it just looked like guile was too far away. look at how far guile was when the cr. jab got blocked before guy did the TC the first time. same for the 2nd… look at how far away guile is when guy performs the TC and it gets blocked. just because you throw it out there doesn’t guarantee it every time… you still have to be within reasonable distance. what capcom did to it was they fixed it so it doesn’t whiff when it’s within a distance that it should hit/get blocked.

I think they just added this small line of coding to guys TC…

lol…perhaps no real hitbox change was made…other wise no reason it would whiff on block…

Edit : Its weird coz i could have sworn i saw TC connect on hit … in some videos from insane ranges…

It’s not a big deal at all. I was just confused because I wasn’t sure of how exactly they fixed the TC, but that video clears it up. Honestly I like it that it whiffs sometimes on block and I’d prefer for it to be that way. For it to land max range on block would be too much IMO.
