I see what you’re saying. But the CH set ups (e.g. cl.mp or cr.hp) work well against OS techs (cr.lk) as well as OS techs were a third button (e.g. cr.mp) is added. Keno uses it really well. TKCS are good and every Cammy uses them for various reasons, but I can tell you that I’ve seen [many] matches where Sako blows up OS techs with IA dive kicks as opposed to delayed TKCS. It’s hard to tell without input display and leads many into thinking he’s using the TK motion, but in reality, he’s just amazingly fast in inputting IA dive kicks at the right hieght to blow up OS techs (with or without third button added).

It all comes down to spacing. Cammy has many options into blowing up OS techs from various ranges. It’s all about being smart and knowing which option is the best option to use based on your spacing.

I know there is a lot of mixed feelings about this since all we really want is for Cammy to remain amazing. Since we all love our Delta Red Brit! haha

Yeah, I know. People were already figuring out Cammy’s mix-up game anyway, so I don’t see why they took it out.

With that said, every time I locked down a Makoto or a Cody player, I always felt sorta guilty.

hahahaha locking down on a character is one of the best feelings in the world! i seriously think Cammy is broken because of her lock down capability is so brutal. it’s basically like magneto from mvc2.

i certainly feel guilty when i lock down a mak player… cause i have been on the receiving end of it and it’s certainly no fun. also for added lulz i was fighting a mak the other night and saw them run into the situation that i find the most infuriating as a mak in the match. towards the end of the second round he goes for his hail mary ex karakusa to absorb my dive and hopefully punish… only to find that i was just slightly too high so i wasn’t on the ground yet when he hit his grabbing frames (and of course with the length of karakusa recovery he died)

Roku I feel you in the sense that TKCS is a good tool BUT it is not an essential tool. I you still can do uf->qcb K as a near TKCS instant air version of the strike she’ll be fine when it comes to pressure. I use TKCS SOOOOO much but I don’t think I’d be crippled without it. What I’m worried about is if they are going to effect the hit/block stun of dive kicks.

If they take out TKCS please buff up the hit/block stun so that when I do connect with a strike on hit mash dp doesn’t beat my 3 frame normals. Honestly cammy is a great character I kinda have preyed on people in my area (not knowing the match) and gotten many tourney wins up here in seattle but I still lose to top Rog/Dee jay which makes me sad. PAX west was won by a cammy =)

So if the really put a height limit on normal strike that’ll hurt but if it’s just TKCS there won’t be that bad of a dent. Add strike to hooligan and we’ll call it even =)

easier to combo normals confuses me. How is this done? I mean all of her normal BnB’s are 2 frame links with some being 3 frame. It’s not like her’s are guile status or rufus status and all 1 frame. I hope they add + on some of the block portion of her normals for more frame traps. +2/3 on blocked cMP would be amazing and 0 on far sHK with it having 7 frame start up would be nice. A 6 frame sweep with better hitbox is on the list as well as better range on her airthrow. I know that all of these things are ridiculous but hey if they said they are improving normals please give me one of those and not give me more + frames on cHP that thing is already super buff…maybe a better hitbox ;P. Alos can we get rid of close sHK…just delete that normal…

first of all, i don’t even play cammy but the complaints against tkcs is hilarious.

why are people complaining about cammy building meter with whiffed tkcs?

it takes 25 whiffs to build a single ex bar.

makes me wonder do people even play street fighter.

i think all this talk about pros not using tkcs is funny. everyone uses it…just not every match. in addition, you might not see pros use it all the time against another pro because they know that the gimmicks won’t work. at the same time, their opponent knows how scary her tkcs mixup can be and wont throw out certain OS’s or low hitting moves in fear of a tkcs beating it.

you see…having the tkcs, even if it’s not being used, is a great mind game in that of itself. taking away that option is taking away what makes people afraid of cammy in the first place…her mixup.

if an instant-air dive kick is still possible, than I will be happy. the way the translated info about cammy came across, made it sound like she couldn’t cstrike for low to mid jump arc. if that is the case…i can’t justify playing cammy competitively anymore and will move to chun or a newly announced character. if not…than i will be content with the removal of tkcs. :slight_smile:

on the front page it says the distance to get to the second hit of HK SA is reduced could that mean only the second hit will hit if you try to do the standard CrHp Cr Mk HSA on most of the cast now? Also I cant tell what they mean with Dive kicks anymore the guy explaining contradicts himself he says Yangs dive kicks are like Yuns but then said only Yuns can be done low like Rufus. Why cant someone explain in more detail unless im missing something.

On a side not if low /mid arc strikes arent possible then i spent almost 2 years learning how to dive kick effectively for no reason. Do they just want Cammy to be last in every Street fighter game. WTF did Capcom lose a bet and get stuck with making Cammy apparently they wanted her to be played by people who use the random button by accident. End rant/
the sad part is in the end ill keep playing Cammy or pick up Yang.

The problem is it seems we can only divekick from the apex, while TKCS would be a big loss, it’s just so much worse if we’re not able to divekick until the apex of a jump. And if Capcom do stick with this peak of the jump bullshit than I certainly hope Rufus, Yang and Yun join Cammy and Akuma in being restricted to the apex of a jump.

I would think a throw range increase would be in order to, not to mention dive kick out of hooligan, and some safer spiral arrows.

and i agree about this, everyone uses TKCS or just her dive kick in general. hopefully all these updates for cammy is purely BS. it’s a combo trial move from sf4 and if they decide to take it out its ridiculous. seriously… Capcom I hope you know what you’re doing.

just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed to the cammy forums. they were very good information, learn something new every time i vist this forum and i wouldn’t have gotten to where i’ve gotten with cammy without it. and thank you to my cammy friends on my xbl list for the good advices. big ups to everyone!

There was loketests where Boxer couldn’t juggle at all, it’s not final. Arcade comes out in 3 months, at least wait for the next loketest before /cutting

Honestly, this is not a move nerf, but a playstyle nerf. We have to see how this turns out. Honestly, as much as I trust Capcom, Gen players got F*CKED in Super, and I’m hoping the same thing doesn’t happen with Cammy. It’s THAT important.
