i watched your matches dieminion. 2 ways to lose to rose that i found are not doing fake fireballs, you should at least low jab to mess with his head, all your sbs were able to be telegraphed due to no fakes ie he can predict reflect when not full screen because basically whenever you pressed the button a boom was guaranteed to come out.
When she is close low strong is your best friend, but dont spam it, make sure to use it when she is done doing something, the easiest way to lose is to give her a lead by panicing when she is close and not blocking a simple jumpin combo or crossup then getting torn up by a 30% combo. Once she has a huge lead, no you cannot win the fireball fight.
I honestly am surprised so many people just say this is a rose win fight, a flashkick can knock out her soul sattelite as well so when she gets close with that thing going just hit her or use like a low mk, if you DO get hit doing the low mk you will bounce back but so far she cant really punish unless she has super.
one of the key parts of this matchup i realized is being ALWAYS ready to burn your ultra when she jumps at you.
A few questions i do have about this match is, when can you flashkick her after drills, is it a guaranteed hit on block for normal drills? is she safe after ex drill? these things i dont know.
Definately need to work on SB fakes as well as SB speed variants when playing against Rose. I believe there is a DaggerG match from Evo2k10 that shows a really good way to play the Rose matchup.
Rose’s will probably be mixing up between LK and HK soul spirals.
LK is unsafe on block and you can’t hit her if she cancels it from c.strong
HK is fairly safe on block if spaced properly, but you can hit her before it starts up if she cancels it from c.strong

There any good west coast tournaments in february to april-ish? It’s been awhile since I’ve been stateside and could use an excuse to come back and show you cats what Guile is all about. Cross-Pacific flights are so expensive though. Ugh.

Not being able to go to these events is killing me, I swear. Snagging time off when you’re stationed out here is nigh impossible. I’m underway for EVO, underway for SBO, underway for GodsGarden… ugh, just awful. I’d love to come back during that time, but there’s not a chance in hell I can get time off.

Although I will be back in Japan a bit before Arcade Edition hits, so hopefully I’ll be able to snag a whole hell of a lot of hype / experience / footage.

Well, in a nutshell, sometime in April 2011 I’ll be going to be living in Bahrain for a year, and then I’ll be out. DEFINATELY not doing the twenty year thing. It works for some people, but it just ain’t my thing. I’ll probably be going to college in either beautiful southern California or Washington after I get out. I’m pretty stoked.
I wonder if there’s a scene in Bahrain… Either way, it will be easier to take leave out there.
