Alright guys. How do I deal with dudleys that know how to zone effectively? His jump ins are mint and trade with mantis c.hp and s.hp and crane c.hk. Meaty toward + hp stuffs reversal gekiro and hands. His s.hp and f+hp have serious active frames. Decent reversals and damage potential. What the hell is my strategy in this match?
God, since my recent efforts to start learning the cross up Oga setups, my game has improved twofold.
If Dudley whiff’s a f+hp in your face you can counter poke it with the s.HP target combo. Once you see the target combo connect, cancel into lk. gekiro. I find that other moves like Gen’s sweep gets stuff by the hitbox of Dudley’s s.HP but Gen’s s.HP seems to more priority.

El Fuerte training dummy? My Gen is usually more of a training dummy for El Fuerte. Ask him to post some videos so that I can learn.

Ya… Random DP = Fuerte’s chest pop what ever that damn move is called. Patients and counter feinting is what I find works best. Until he has ultra. I find dashing at him when he does his Run/Stop Feints and sweeping or poking works good. Because a lot of the Fuerte’s that I’ve played IPeru being one of them. Like to run stop like half screen away from you to bait you. So if you dash at them while they are running, and sweep (of course you are taking a chance) you can catch them once or twice. I wouldn’t over do it. IMO the best time to even do a DP is if you see him commit to his run specials on your knock down. vs his wall jumps neutral attacks work well. If you are bad at timing them and get grabbed easily. Use Crane nj.LK.

True, even the simple forward throw setups can be a lifesaver a lot of the time. Especially if you haven’t attempted it yet and do it late into the match, so satisfying.

That word doesn’t mean spamming DP but spamming a move, no idea which one he meant.

Yea, that’s why I said he implied. Gen doesn’t really have a lot of spammable moves tbh, and DP comes to mind the first (with Fuerte’s body splash invinc and all)

What is the best punish vs a blocked Criminal Upper by Cody? HP Hands where only like 16dmg lands? I was trying to punish it with a 5 frame normal but it’s way too tight. Even mashing out TC2. Super doesn’t work vs it cuz it’s only -5. s.MP doesn’t reach.
just practice the 5 frame normal IMO. unless you have meter, reversal hands wont really be a threatening punish, and like you said standing mp wont always reach

Most likely TC2 or crane cr.MP won’t reach either unless they did a raw point blank range criminal upper. Mantis st.MK is the best bet, and you can possible to a LK Gekiro cancel too, though it is distance dependent.
