I’ll be waiting to account for each entrant in the room. Good luck and have fun!
I’m sorry. Brackets are already booked. You can pass through for casuals as there will be definitely tons of XBL players there. After this one is done, judging by the feedback we get, I’m hoping to create a bigger one the following Sunday. Just keep checking.
Edit: Better yet…definitely show up. Just in case someone doesn’t make it. I’ll fill you into that spot. K?
One slot has already opened up so you’re in. Make sure you show up by 6:30pm Eastern time.
Gutabo, if you can just make your presence there, we’ll see if something opens up for you as well. K?
Edit: Gutabo, if you can show up earlier so we can test your connection versus other players that would be even more awesome. We have to take into consideration that there will definitely be some lag playing into this. With all of us together at the same time, we can come up with simple quick ideas on how to work around the lag. I personally don’t have a 360 so all I can really do is monitor the process.
Also, I want to be able to run something bigger next time around. I’m looking for something like 32…no 64 entrants. So if any of you guys can introduce this to your friends/colleagues, we can turn this into something on a more massive scale.
Hey, sorry I took a while to respond. I actually couldn’t find this thread, I had to look up other people’s profiles to find it, but anyhow.
C. Viper: I wasn’t exactly sure who your main was, but I could tell C. Viper is like your fun character, I saw that you truly were trying to make genuine combos with her. Overall, you were having fun with her. I can see you’re trying to master her combos, and her mindgames, keep it up with her! And about me grabbing you while doing your Ultra, that was kinda lucky. I rolled in with Abel and that left me invulnerable to your Ultra, then I just grabbed you out of it. lol, lucky me I guess!
Balrog: This character in my opinion was the weakest in your arsenal. You see, I noticed that you constantly tried to rely on his headbutt, which in itself is a great move, but in certain situations, you were better off just poking at me with your jabs. That’s another thing, rarely you would jab me. I would say improve on your jab game and mix it up with some grabs here in there with him, you’ll improve. And don’t take for granted safe jump-ins after knockdown, they can be pretty tricky set-ups if you’re going for a grab.
Ryu: I can tell you have some experience with Ryu. Gen is my secondary, and you beat him twice before I was able to tie it up with my Gen. Your SRKs were well timed, your hadokens were used well with spacing, but you do have some problems trying to focus cancel into ultra. You’re getting there! Practice that focus cancel continuously, youll get it.
General comments, things that I saw:
– Vs my Abel, I noticed that whenever I followed up on my rekkas whenever you were crouching, you always kept getting hit. It happened continuously too, with all your characters that faced my Abel. Remember, his second hit (the punch) is an overhead, so if you’re crouching on the first hit, then you must block standing up if you want to avoid getting caught into the combo. With Abel, I’d say try to stay a good distance away from his cross up medium kick and his forward medium kick. it puts you in situations where it’s almost a rock-paper-scissors game. You don’t want that… and i’ll try to work on my juggles! Thanks!
– Vs my Gen, I usually rely a lot on Gen’s cross-ups and his Ogas a lot for mix-ups. Try experimenting in training mode, usually it’s only a matter of blocking in the right direction. But Gen is a rare character, you just need more practice fighting him. You were doing a great job! I’m still trying to work on my combos. Watch out for Gen’s stances, his Crane stance jumps farther and will punish things like hadokens if the jump is timed well.
– Vs my Vega, I only used him once, but i’ll tell you this, he used to be my first main. I love Vega, I love his movements. I relied a lot on my pokes and my patience to catch you in situations that benefited me. Watch out for his off-the-wall cross-ups and his medium punch poke. It has extremely long reach! In general, Vega isn’t a character that’ll pose a lot of threat because he doesn’t do that much chip damage, and is usually a character that relies on the opponents mistakes to win.
I really hopes this helps, man!
Let’s play some time!

I was wondering what happened to you. I’ll see if another spot opens up. Definitely pass through on Sunday. Just glance in by 6:30pm Eastern US time. We’ll take a look and see if there’s anything open right then and there.
