wall dives are a tricky thing if used right. most people simply jump up and thorw a move out that cover the space in front of them, but if i see a jump in a near lagless enviorment i will whip those claws out and stuff any attempt you make. If you jump foward it becomes harder because you move towards me at a faster speed, making it harder to react and time it, but its also tricky because that can lead a izuna drop and that leads to multiple izuna drops especially if your near the corner. if you FA you take another chance. 1 i misstime my wall dive and slash instead of grabbing you cancel towards my direction and you get free combo of your choice. Or 2 i grab you out of it. and start some sort of mix up game that consist of tick throw, throw, ballarina kick over you into jumping over head/low attack xx into a EX Wall dive/bait you/use the non EX flying torpedo move to trick you im going for a wall dive/wall dive.
your best bet is to simply wait and SRK deep, but i will use the auto lock to my advantage and simply tilt the stick back to avoid the move or push i your direction so the SRK doesnt hit me and i get a free drop, either way the results for the deep SRK are more in you favor if you have meter/ultra.

Once again gg’s. Seems like near the end you got a bit frustrated with me/lag/sf4 but I could be wrong.
Things that stuck out to me this time:
Should try more air throws to get me to think twice about jumping so much. I don’t jump that much but you should try to feel me out and get me.
I think you do FA a bit too much to the point it loses you life to more than you should have lost to begin with. Vega seems to have a very strange jumping angle so you maybe be able to short jump them and get in. Maybe use different varieties of getting around my FB’s
This time around I gave you ALOT more things to worry about when doing the wall jump (wall dive or w/e hehe) and it seemed to really put a cramp in that area of your game. Maybe try more fakes with it?
Sorry my critique will probably never be too good unless you’re doing something SUPER obvious bad. Plus I don’t have any real clue about Vega but I’m learning so thanks for the games. Hope to play again soon.
towards the end i started playing with normals only. no point in using specials if one doesnt have a complete understading of all the normals a character has. as for FA maybe i should lessen it, but because of lag i couldnt react to fireballs or air throw you (real sensitive to lag). with wall dive its either i grab you or knock you out or you knock me out. and as for fake out sounds like a good idea, but i can easily get punished. If it was 5 bars every jump up would have been stuffed i would be able to knock you out of any move on wake up other than SRK that was in my direction. and your cr.mk and st.mk that move is just to good it completly stuffs any poke i use + it changes move your hit box. The more i play against you the more i want to quit Vega because the gap between Ryu/Akuma is much bigger than people say it is. Id rather Sagat than Ryu. But cant get better if i dont figure something out. GG’s and ill play you soon again.
side note. looked at the player list and lol at the Ryu’s/Balrog/Akuma, not even one Sagat main . wow that some food for thought right there.
edit: at least this time i got wins in and wasnt completely dominated.
vs LaserRooney
I got dominated this time around. Mix ups were good. Other than a few execution errors from missed SRK’s or bad FADC to Ultra. Game was spot on as far as I could tell. You saw my weaknesses early and abused the crap out of it. Good stuff.
vs kyroc 4 ever
Your ground game got a lot better. good mix up with overhead + f+mk. Saw some nice kara throws, too. I’d use that more. Same problem as me, a little too SRK happy. Which netted me most of my damage on you. You tend to jump in after a f+mk. I didn’t really capitalize on it, but that was a pretty consistent pattern. I still don’t understand what you are trying to do with the air tatsu’s that go across the screen. If your goal is to make me whiff a SRK then I don’t think that’s the best idea since most people will wait till you land deep to SRK.
Thanks, i noticed in the past that air tatsu’s would have some players whiff SRK, and yeah it’s not the best strategy. I try to keep things mixed up, i’ll be working on not being so SRK happy. I also just need to get the ex-tatsu-crossup mastered in training…
Your AA was a bit off that night i felt, you didn’t punish well unless i whiffed. Your Ryu footsies can be a bit more aggressive too, alot of Ryus give me issues because of that alone. You have great zoning with fireballs, great tatsu-crossups, and you started nicely on combos but after awhile you seemed to miss some links. I noticed you only connected once or twice on SRK fadc ultra, so again maybe just an offnight, but that’s execution on your part, you should have that down to a science. You can also make a pretty good use of Ryu’s FA, and use that to mix up your offense with your zoning.
Thanks. I wasn’t landing anything last night. Got pretty frustrated, lol. I felt like I was playing from like 3 months ago. I got in a bad habit of FAing too much at the wrong times so I’m just trying to not use it all for the most part until I get the other parts of my game down better and maybe really determine key points that I can FA for advantage rather than out of habit. AA SRK’s weren’t happening so I resorted to cr.HP which wasn’t really happening either, lol.
Great games again dude but this time these games were super tight! Here’s my breakdown :
Still got those solid combos going and good footsies
Try not to FA as much. A big part of my streak came in from empty jumps to throw your FA attempts. It’s good but make sure you have other types of AA (which you started doing for the run you had)
Hold your ground more and don’t give in to the urge to jump in.
Later in the session you had me a little baffled with your jumping in with the Tatsu and crossing me up left and right haha. Great addition to your game.
Overall just try to not use FA as 70-80% of your damage because you had a lot of trouble finding damage if you couldn’t land them.
You didn’t have a fireball pattern (Which is good)
You were hard to get in on.
You generally had the same block string, but it kept working because I kept option selecting.
Eventually I understood when you were going to jump-in.
Yeah, your the second person today to tell me about my focus attacks, I need to play more players like you that will punish me. You pushed me to do new things, which is where those constant cross up Tatsu’s came from, but you adapted to those quickly. I was really frustrated when you had five and I had two, all of the sudden I was able to react to your jump-ins.
Kyroc 4 ever
You need to work on your links with Bison, you could have dealt a lot more damage if you were to link those attacks. Learn some good block strings, and learn to change things up a bit, because you had a pattern and would react to things the same way.

I have only been playing off and on for close to 3 months( actual time: 1 1/2 weeks tops). Still new to the game, but I can adapt pretty well. I’m an OG SF player, so I’ll need to adapt to the new play style here which shouldn’t be a problem. Good day for me to get some training in, so hit me up.
Your Rufus is very good just work on some combos that Rufus does. At the start of the match try not to to the tornado spin especially against a Gouki player. Try to do his hard trials and apply those combos until you figure out your own but we had some good matches. keep up the good work and let’s spar some more.
hey man good stuff. Your akuma is really good. Apply great pressure, and runaway is great when needed. Some stuff you need to work on; On wake up you teleport a lot of the time, decrease that. Not saying don’t do it, but if you keep doing it too much then you will probably get punished. The air fireballs got me a lot, although im not sure how that will do against people who handle that better so mix it up sometimes with air fireballs and just normals. Great use of his demon flip and the other things that go witht hat like the grab. Work on the bnbs, but like we disscussed the pcb and buttons. IDK if it was that same reason you didn’t get your teleports but just practice the timing teleport on wake up a little bit, never hurts. Also try to fix that habbit of SRK on wake up. I do it too but it gets punished crazy. Like i said your pressure is good, but i faced this one crazy akuma that destroyed me with amazing so if you want to get better than u already are learn the mix up possibility of the lk tatsu. The dude i faced did crazy stuff like lk tatsu – sweep – demon flip or sometihng like that i forget. But you are reall good and your akuma is solid. Good games
Yeah my buttons are giving out on me badly lately especially when I walked up to you to do the hk round house but nothing happen well my button gave out on he. Also when you use Rufus dive kick while i was in the corner well i was suppose to teleport and my mp gave out on me but thanks for the advice and I have some tweaks to fix with my gameplay so I’m going to apply that of what you wrote. Well as far as my arcade SE stick well we talked about that and instead of wasting money for a new PCB and sanwa buttons and new wires I’m just going to hold off until the new Madcatz SFIV TE Round 2 stick comes out and here’s a image of what it looks like.
