I could tell you’ve been working on not doing FA so much and trying to AA me more effectively. That was really good but you still use it more than you should.
Your corner game was really good but you only got me there like two times but those times I got handled pretty badly.
The thing I was getting you with that session would be my constant jumping in on you (which you got a handle on near the end of the session) but you have to figure out how to handle it much faster.
Your combos are still very good and you even hit me with some new ones but I just keep everything simple haha.
I would say keep working on not using FA for jump ins and holding your ground when we’re at that middle range/short range and just play footsies. And have an AA on speed dial for someone who tries to jump at you. I try to make sure I AA at least 70% of jump in attempts because that’s how alot of people get you.
Thanks for the long session! He won the big majority of the matches. You had good ground game, no un-necessary jumps, goog switching between fireballs and demon flips, good runaways when necessary(wakeup teleport), good use of jabs(thing I laked). Maybe you shouldn’t do so many walkup throws(although I keept falling for it). His execution after a FADC wans’t very good I guess you could work on that, but it was very laggy, so that could be it… Good games!
Yeah the match was laggy so my FADC>sanku didn’t come out but it’s ok. We had some very good matches. You have a good Sagat and what I suggest is use more tiger knees. It covers a lot of grounds especially against a Gouki player. Try not to turtle yourself…Sagat is a OP character so you should try to be a little more aggressive with him. Same as your Ryu but in my opinion you are better with Sagat. Also when you trade hits with any opponent and they are still flying you should either do a f.hk into a ultra or if you don’t have a ultra do a f.hk >tiger knee. Other than that you have a solid Sagat.
Thanks for the advice you gave me and I’m going to apply to that.
vs UCHIHA MADARA
nice really solid Ryu. You’re good with those links and it keeps good pressure. You catch me off guard with some of the things. Some things you gotta work on is when i wake up. Sometimes you FA when im down and i can get you with the ultra. I like your tick throwing, just do it a little more, for instance when you wake up and im down defending, go for a clp or two then go for a grab. But yeah work on some bnb’s and punishers. For example if you block an srk go for a chp - (EX)tatsu. Good solid ryu with much potential. ggs
vs DaMoney21
Your Ryu was very good, well disciplined; a quality mines lacks. You seem to adjust well and know when to go for cross-ups, and when to play it cool. I will say that the occasionally random SRK here and there let me back in some of the fights. Eliminate that. At the same time, your Rufus was solid in most areas; when I got pushed in the corner, you nailed me with pressure and hit block strings until…the ultra. Work on finishing with the Ultra…no way I should have won against him. Overall, you have solid game play; Rufus will be deadly with some work…eliminate silly mistakes, be a little more patient when being pressured, and be a FINISHER with both fighters…and you’ll be fine. ggs, chief.
vs. The Brown One
Great matches as usual. These matches made me realize how much I hate that you automatically go into a defensive potion whenever a FA is used. Seriously, what kind of bullshit is that. Why would I defend a Focus Attack at POINT BLANK RANGE?
Anyway, Ryu’s good, but I think you’re jumping a bit much, but you do make up for it with your rh poke. You also did a good job keeping me away from using an Ultra. The only time I got it out was your Ken whiffing the Shinkyuuken against my Viper.
Another thing I need to point out is that you’re doing a good job using BnB combos as well, but I think you need to add some overheads to your arsenal since the only thing that stopped me in a crouching position was a throw.
I still have an old habit of jumping, but you can’t say I don’t use it properly either, but Viper is another story.
Sorry for posting so late. GG’s. You’ve improved you’re fuerte since the last time we played. You’re mixup was prettto follow up w/ fuerte’s mixup (I think you messed up). That grab one is really annoying because I don’t really know how to dodge it, so I think that’s his best one. I try dashing, but sometimes it’s too late. I try SRKing, but that doesn’t work either. I don’t know; it seems impossible. The one thing you need to watch out for is throwing fuertes air leg grab thing too much ; I saw you throw it out randomly, maybe trying to predict a jump. Anyways…that’s about it.
Was really pissed off that lag started to appear in our 3rd game. Connection for SF4 is weird whenever someone in the house just connects to the internet. Would like to play you again later tonight when it will be perfect. Anyways, onto the match. Nice crossups and almost always throwing my tiger knees. Yeah I know I should have switched it up more. I think one thing was the majority of the time at the start of a round, you would always jump forward and I would always meet you in air and beat your attack. Got a little predictable. Besides that it was fun games.
Looks like i was delted bc of inactivity. i dint have internet for a month bc im poor but i got it back and im ready to play again

Ryu
A couple of things. First, I think you missed every attempt at DP FADC Ultra. Second, there were several times when you would throw out several c. jabs. You would have done better if you had used the jabs to hit confirm into a more damaging combo. Good use of throws.
Rufus
You jumped at me a lot with Rufus. I remember at least one round in which you jumped at my Ryu 4 times in a row, only to be punished w/ dps every time. You should make more use of his dive kick at various heights to mix it up if you’re going to jump. Also, there were a couple of times where you missed the ultra after hitting me in the air. And you should probably make more use of the EX messiah kick to get some room when you’re constantly being pressured. Your use of the EX snake strike was pretty effective.
Overall, good games. I realize you were distracted for the last few matches, but I think this advice may be helpful, regardless.
A few things. First, don’t throw out random hk.tatsus from across screen unless you’re anticipating a projectile you can tatsu through. You also whiffed a lot of dps, missed your ultra after FADC, and threw a couple of random ultras. Also, I don’t remember you blocking any of my cross-ups. You did punish pretty well when I gave you a chance. I think you threw me once instead of comboing, but I only remember that happening once. Also your use of c.mk xx hado was very effective. One note on that: if someone is charging FA in your face, it’s better to use the super or ultra if you have it instead of c.mk xx hado. Versus my lame Sakura, you seemed to adapt quickly.
Overall, ggs man. Just let me know when you wanna get more matches in. Looking forward to it.
Okay, I kind of noticed something as of late. There’s been very few XBL Tournies going on. I personally am on the PSN network but it looks like we need to get one going here.
Alright first off I’m going to start off with the SRK mashes lol. You were mashing them during my block strings, so start throwing away that habit. After baiting you a couple of times i thought you would of stopped doing it by then but you still did it after wards. It maybe good online but its a different story in local gaming or use it as an option instead of hoping your opponent would miss a link.
Random Tatsu needs to go away or should i say Psychic Tatsu’s. You hit me a couple of times but after i caught onto the way you would react, They were useless cause you lose more than what you gain. If you really plan on making Ryu your main. Take the habit away cause the way you were playing was the same exact way i was playing before i started to play competitively.
Go to the training room and practice Ryu’s BnB combo’s down so you can do more damaging punishment. All i saw was EX Tatsu punishment which does good damage but there’s more to EX Tatsu. You had no Anti-Air so i would also suggest for you to go sit in the training room with the dummy recorded randomly jumping in on you so you can practice SRK on reaction. A good Anti-Air Ryu = Win, pretty much if you have your Ground game on lock down.
I didn’t feel any pressure at all besides getting random SRK’d during my block string and random tatsu’s. Like i said after feeling you out a bit, your habit was to SRK if i hit confirmed you so i would see my hit confirm you then pause and guess what? SRK came out. Really really try to not do that at all.
Rufus
Didn’t really pay attention to your Rufus really because it seemed like you didn’t know much about him yourself. Basically watch out for the Jump ins. I don’t Vs Rufus much but i did catch onto your pattern. Like i said earlier about your Ryu, Everything you do has to mostly be on reaction and less with prediction. Well at least it seemed like that to me. Sorry but i don’t know what to give any other feedback for your Rufus besides telling you to practice him more.
Both characters i feel you need to really hit the training room tho. BnB is your best friends later into the higher levels which your Rufus obviously didn’t have, Same with your Ryu.
Overall Good Games and if you ever want more practice just invite me when you see me on.
look , my input is not as enlightening as most others…
i fought juicy mackin
dude you had a pretty regular asswhooping with with your akuma, only thing i would critisize…
stop jumping crazy style, maybe i facilitate your jump spam cause i am definately an easy target, others would punish, but i bet you know this, but when i could capitolize, and get a lead , it was cause careless jumps i believe.
got any tips where i could punish close hk?
thrawn i cannot give you much critisize, you made me play your game, and there is where i lost, I would say add patience to set up reaction punish
im gonna get you tommorrow lol!!!
