SRK Training Team (XBL)

BizziB (Ryu) vs. Sho 7 Gu n God aka Luken27 (Ryu)

  1. Well played fireball war. For the most part you knew the proper range and zoned me accordingly.
  2. Great AA. I could barely get any free jump-ins on you unless I caught you throwing a fireball.
  3. Nice execution on the cross-up Tatsu’s. I definitely need to incorporate this more into my game. Deadly with Super stored, as well.
  4. Great execution after you Focus Crumpled me with f.hp>c.lp>c.hp>tatsu. You nailed it 90% of the time and we were playing online so that was very impressive.
  5. Tied in with 4, but nice use of Focus Attacks. Caught me a lot with these and like I said you punished me with the above combo every time.
  6. You missed a lot of opportunities to throw out an easy Ultra after a trade or juggle. You did have one nice FADC>Ultra on a jump-in, though.
  7. Sometimes you got a little careless with your Focus Attacks which I could poke away at or combo if close enough.
  8. Work on your footsie game a little more. Do a lot more of Ryu’s BnB c.mk>fireball.
9.Sometimes threw out random Tatsu’s. I’m guilty of this as well and is a bad habit I’ve yet to overcome.
  9. PROFIT!!!

Sorry I didn’t record any of our matches. I’m really slacking on recording matches lately for anything. I’ll definitely try to remember next time.

Vs BizziB

My Abel:
I have a tough time with him against people who have there zoning down to a science. He’s my 2nd. Seems like on some ppl he works and others he has no chance. Not characters, but players.

Boxer:
2. I do try to use his pokes alot more these days. As I’ve progressed I’ve realized how good they are and how much his specials are overrated.
3. I didn’t know balrog had frame traps? You’ll have to teach me more about that.
4. I usually dont throw half as many headbutts as I did against you, but your fireballs were really keeping me away. After I synced my timing with yours I would punish if you had the spacing wrong. Wasn’t too hard to guess since you throw so many. Towards the end you stopped throwing as many leaving me headbutting for no reason looking like scrub.
7. Thank you for baiting my TAP’s. They’re a crutch I rely on too much to get around projectiles and well…everything else. I’ve been trying to break myself out of the habit but they work on so many ppl its hard.
8. I was experimenting with something that wasn’t giving me a clear result. Trying to see If i could stop DP’s with meaty jabs & block in time if ur Dp went through. I heard its 1 of the few ways to deal with Rufus’s EX Messiah Kick. Been experimenting with it ever since.

Your Ryu:
Impressive. Honestly you’re the most well-rounded Ryu I’ve played. I can tell you’ve dug up about every bit of info you could on him.

Your links were great. I saw some new combos. The only ppl I see use lnks with ryu are japanese so i was taken off guard.

As for the well rounded thing. You used everything: Block string, cross-ups where i had to choose between throw or just block, fireball baiting, fadc ultras, frame traps. I had to actually think after u started baiting turn punches. Balrog doesn’t take to much brain power.

Only thing I think you could’ve imporved on was punishing my tap’s on block and maybe jump in a little less. i couldn’t get ur timing but someone will.

Luken27 (Sho 7 Gu n God) Vs. BizziB

Your Ryu is amazing, the only advice I have for you is to do less jump-ins. The only reason you probably did so many is because I failed to punish. You didn’t have a fireball pattern, which caused me to do random tatsu’s, so that’s a good thing. You punished my jump-ins. Your a BEAST!!

I suggest that you play NinjaCW, you two would have a lot of fun.

Yea I usually don’t jump that much but I figured you was scared of my footsies game and was waiting for a FB to jump.

But the best advice I can give to you is AA those jump-ins more often.

Maybe we’ll cross swords in this Cevo Tournament. If you run into Scunsion be careful, he has one of the best Sagat’s around town.

Yea I just watched him play my friend. . .I have my work cut out for me lol

Anyone, preferably from the west coast, down for some games at around 12 or something? My Abel needs practice.

RingoRed only played two matches, will give more feedback once we get a longer set in.
Sho 7 Gu n God very good games last night man. Your ryu is pretty good, there were some things you could work on though. I think you should try and DP more of my headstomps, I remember getting in quite a few of them. Also you can DP when I get you in block strings with the Scissor Kicks. Overall though you did well, and kept the matches close. You can use j.mp, or j.mk to stop devils reverses and headstomps, which I think you did use a few times. Usually when I play Ryus too, I get hit with a lot of j.hp into ex fireballs, or ultra which you didnt do at all, so that might help next time.

Vaccant1 (Balrog) vs. Kyarisan (Akuma) FT5 (5-4 Kyari)

I’ve gotten a good bit better since last we played and you switched to a character I’m much more confident against. So, our games were much closer than last time. In fact they couldn’t get any closer without a tie.

Though I haven’t played anyone else on the team that mains Akuma, you are the best Akuma I’ve ever played, believe it or not. I roll Akumas on Champ mode all day long!

The Good:
[]You did an excellent job of punishing my TAPs. Most players never learn to counter it no matter how many times we play.
[
]Your fireballing was very difficult to punish.
[]I like that you did ex Fireballs when i got in your face so my armored punches would break.
[
]Your shakus were usually from a safe range.

You use teleport effectively, I hardly ever see Akumas use this and its incredible.
The Bad:
[]You missed a lot of links. I was able to squeek headbutts between a couple of your cr.mk and fireballs. Though most of the time I wasn’t able to punish I was able to block a lot of hits.
[
]A few times I TAPped/jumped-in without realizing you had ultra meter but didn’t get raging demoned, which surprised me. I normally stay grounded and stop TAP’ing out of fear of raging demon. Try buffer in your Demons after every fireball and hit that heavy punch if you see me jump or TAP.

I wanna see some Tatsu>Shoryuken>FADC>Shakus!.. Cause its cool…
DIE ONE THOUSAND DEATHS!!!

sorry, but can you change my listing to Bison (Dictator) only.
Decided to stick with my guns

AssassinSxCR33D(Ryu) vs RingoRed(Balrog)
I just got a fightstick like half a month ago, and a bit nervous since i didn’t play online for a while.
-when i blocked your c,lp string, you would grab afterwords, i didn’t tech most of them since i missed the light punch button.
-Have very solid anti-airing, with the headbutt and especially the c.hp, you made it really hard to get in on you.
-you never did quick get ups, it mixed me up since i usually fight ppl who do, but you should trying mixing the quick get ups and not doing them.

  • i saw you jump in but i usually couldn’t get the shoryuken on time or used lp.shoryuken so the priority was low, so it either traded or got reverseled.
-when i didn’t do a quick get up, most of the time you would jump straight up right in front of me, so most of the time i would shoryuken you.
  • you mixed up the dash punch with high and low well.
-should use the turn punch more often.

vs wkwong11 (feedback)
I just watched the first two parts of the vid on youtube of our matches. It’s hard to give good feedback since your the experienced one but I’ll give it a shot. While we were having those matches I had thought that what you were doing well was zoning. I still think you were doing that well, but after watching the vid I noticed you were picking up on my bad habbits and punishing my poor poking game. I kept throwing out c.HK and I think that is the main reason you kept using FA, and why I kept getting caught by FA.
Also, nice job on punishing my dash moves at the end of rounds with FADC->Ultra.

hey, just wanted to ask real quick, how did we all do at WCW?

I almost made it out of pools, lost to Eric Choi and Coffee in the finals…

What I Need to Practice: Execution

If anyone is around ill be online for a hour and then around midnite for a while. Hit me up to get games in guys.

vs. Philski

Some good games.

vs. Blanka: From what I saw, probably your best character. Nice job mixing things up with those jab horizontal rolls. (now if I could just improve my shoryu reaction for the others). You do all right with the cross-ups too, and can be pretty tricky with the character.

vs. Dhalsim: Not bad. Just keep your cool and get better at the keep away game, and master that teleport. A Dhalsim with some tricky teleporting is deadly.

vs. Guile: don’t remember the matches well enough right now, but all in all, I remember your Guile being pretty solid.

E. Honda: I think mixing his command throw and the Sumo Splash into your game more could help.

Sagat: Maybe more patience and variety with what you decide to do. And use that standing roundhouse for far AA, 'cause it’s deadly. Also, now we both know: Tiger Uppercut isn’t hitting Sakura’s air Tatsu when it’s at a pretty good height.

Chun Li–Don’t forget about her flip kick. It’s good for cross ups at the right distance. And other players have thrown me off plenty with her EX SBK.

Ryu–again, don’t remember too much. Well, probably lay off those jab shoryu sequences, though.

Cammy–Yeah, can’t really juggle very well with her Ultra. Best I’ve done is catching someone on a jump back when she goes up with it

Some really good matches and Blanka skills that obviously tripped me up.

Anticipation is one area I need to get more control over, that and being more “psychic”, I’d say you should watch out for that too so you’re less likely to whiff some of those ultras, or have them blocked (when they won’t chip to death…frickin’ Blanka).

Good game
