MartinRob Vs imTomdotCom

I don’t really have anything to critique. That was a Pretty confusing match-up for me. I will definitely check out your channel. I did not think that the connection was a problem at all. gg’s and good luck in the tournament.

Vs SteinMania

I knew I didn’t have a chance when I saw you do the cannon spike thingy. I messed up alot but I would’ve lost even if I didn’t so good job. I was expecting you to use it to mix up but you didn’t maybe thats something you could work on.

I’ll probably be away from the game until Monday so I’ll start adding people then.

Ironman1478 vs Soleassassin10

Ryu
a pretty good ryu, not much to say because he didn’t make too many mistakes and his zoning is pretty good
however i suggest that you work on you execution a little bit (it was lagging a bit though so it could have been that) also you should shoryuken a bit too much (dont wake up srk when somebody is charging their FA because usually it is a bait attempt)

Akuma
you’re akuma could use some work, try not to fireball too much because we got into a huge fireball war which didn’t help you because i would just EX sb through you fireballs. you’re execution was good, nothing special in terms of creativity but i no akuma isn’t your main so that is to be expected. all in all it’s pretty decent. also if someone gets you into a corner just teleport out because there isn’t much you can do if they are applying heavy pressure and since akuma has such little health it isn’t good for him (or anyone, but especially him) to stay in a corner

**Tournament brackets have been updated. Round 2 is now starting. Loser’s bracket is now also ready to start. Finish your matches by Thursday night. **

Remember. Post your feedback and the match outcome with score for tourney matches.

Ironman1478

You have a decent guile. You have a really good pressure game and have some nice links and block strings that you used nicely. Things to improve on could be your zoning and spacing. You jumped into me jap srk too many times and ate a ultra when you could have avoided the jump in. Other then then, you have a solid basis to take your guile further. GG’s!

reelsmartkid vs newbkills

really fun games. most of them were really close and it seems like were even. i noticed you never really jumped so gs on that. you didnt really AA me but i guess you dont do that online so ok. your footsies were really good. buttt i noticed you liked to sweep me alot so i would hang around just outside sweep range wait for you to whiff it then punish. you didnt really catch on to that i guess. you also did a really good job focusing my dash punches. but a way to get in on rog is safe jumps he doesnt really have a good wake up option and like all of his headbutts start up in like 7+ frames IIRC. but yeah really good games.

Newbkills, you can’t safe jump Ryu. If anything, it’s a fake safe jump that lands early to bait the DP. In training mode, you can practice DP’ing non meaty jump ins whether it’s a cross up or not. Set the character to throw you and do a cross up and do the 323/121 delayed punch DP method; works best for me. Just try to get used to the timing when you get knocked down and how long it takes you to get up.

As for AA’ing, i’m trying to do DP’s from the crouched position. It gives you more time to DP and gives you more damage because the DP is really meaty; you get the full 160 dmg. At the recent God’s Garden tournament, Mago was just crouching and hit TU from a cross up. That hardest part about this though is getting the timing down and knowing the proper range.

Thanks Sabez, I’ll try that out tonight. I’m sure I’ll have some more questions later on.

Ironman1478 vs Aboffman

Balrog:
a solid balrog, i cant really comment because i always lose to balrog and because i dont know much about how he is supposed to be played, but you seemed to be able to pull off some good combos

Dictator:
your dictator scared the crap out of me, i usually lose to him but i really couldnt up a fight because you kept doing that jumping on head thing, but also you played really smart and forced me to make mistakes
i cant really comment on how you can improve on him because it seemed good enough and i dont know much about how to play dictator

Sagat:
SPAM MORE FIREBALLS
that’s sagats suppression tactic thingy
if anyone gets in sagats face sagat can’t last long so just spam tons of fireballs and when they jump at you try to kick them, if that doesn’t work just take the hits or block them and counter him with a dp if you get an opening

akuma:
really needs some work, learn to space him better and dont let anyone get in his face, even a simple 3 hit target combo with a jump in hurts him a lot because he has less health so when someone gets in your face just teleport when you get a chance, you execution was good though and you got some good hits in but try to get away if they get in your face or if you knock them down try to crossup because a character like guile (my main) really cant do anything against a crossup when he is waking up

GG man your balrog is really good

XBL Gamertag: parallel quicks

Record Matches: Yes, but not in the best quality
Dedication: getting to a decent level to compete in torunys
Characters: chun li
Strengths: excution on , landing focus attacks, baiting people into making mistakes
Weaknesses: Rush downs and being rushed down, being hit from the air
Characters Good VS: ryu.ken,sagats
Characters Bad VS: abel, boxer
What I Need to Practice: getting out of being rushed down and keeping the pressure off

Yeah, you’re definitely right. I need to work on my mix-ups instead of just attacking after I get a knockdown. And I will work on those throws–I still am trying from too far away. Thanks for the feedback. Let me know when you’re up for more.

Yeah, I tend to lose focus after I’ve suffered massive damage. I went to bed right after our matches, so I kinda forgot what happened. I definitely want to play you again soon. I’ll send an invite next time I see you. Sorry about that, man.

Ironman1478 vs Aboffman

GG’s man, thanks. Anyways, I really liked the way you play guile. I really felt like I was constantly under pressure, your rush down game was pretty dang, good. It looked like you had good execution as well, I think you missed like one combo over the span of 9 games. There’s something really, really simple that would up your game fast though. You went for only two throws the entire 35 minutes that we played. Once I learned that you didn’t tick throw I really took advantage of that. Every once in a while If I’m blocking your combo go for a throw, that would make you more of a threat. Also, when you fight Bison, you need to use your air throw all the time, you never used it. I’m pretty sure it beats headstomp, so when I figured you didn’t use that move I was pretty much free to spam DR and headstomp all day, which is something I really shouldn’t be able to do in this match up.

Summary: You have your combos down well it seems, so just work in your throws and figure out your match ups and you’re going to be a very scary guile player.

Vs Ironman1478

That was fun. I would definitely say you are a better player than i am. your block strings were great and you worked in overheads to keep me guessing. Like most people you cracked under presume and either messed up a combo or threw out a random flash kick. Also when i have a full super bar don’t try an overhead.

Vs Aboffman

Overall: Your Rog and Bison are really strong. Solid combos, good execution, great Rog mixups.

Rog: Great footsies. when you had me in the corner i had no idea what to do to get out.

Dictator: Mind games. your head stomps really messed me up. just when i thought it was a fake it turned out to be a real one and you smashed me to the ground. Good block strings. Not much to change to be done.

Akuma: Here is where i can help. You had tons of HUGE combo opportunities you didn’t capitalize on.

:dp::hk: -> :lp: -> :lp: -> :lp: -> :qcb: :lk: -> :dp: :hp:

You hit me twice with the Demon flip and just sweeped me. If that is to hard to, do a couching hard punch instead of the light punches.

Ironman1478 vs Redwrath

Ryu:
you play simple, but that is a good thing your defense is strong but you tend to jump a little too much if you start to lose health so try to lose that habit because you’ll eat fireballs. really you just need to go into training and work on combos/execution and you can be really beastly because you managed to beat me with the basics so if you add some more damaging combos you are going to be quite beastly

also be less modest you are quite good if not better than me (not that i am that good)

Vs redwrath5

GG’s, thanks for the games, man. I think the biggest thing I think you need to work on is landing combos. There were times were you would hit me with a c. lp and I would get away scott free because they weren’t followed up with anything. Also, it seemed like you really froze up in the games with Rog. I’d be chipping away with dash punch, while you crouch blocked. I think you can catch my dash punch with c. mk xx hado, so try that maybe.

With Bison, you just need to learn the match up better, he’s very mind game oriented so try to familiarize yourself with these mind games.
