lmao gief is broken …that pretty much sums up my recap…lol i would go into detail but i know we all have played enough giefs to know how the match go’s i ran away he lariated through fireballs ,sat ther and waited for me to attack and spd’d ,then if i didn’t he would use the flat to get in and cross me up and throw or go straight for the throw …lol,i mean…hmmmmmm…good match…thats gief ya know?

Ryu:
Your Ryu was rather good, I loved fighting him.
Pro’s: You got your C.MK link into hado down really well, you also know how to hado zone well
you can usually do the FADC into ultra rather well.
You can mix up sometimes.
Con’s: You had problems being rushed down, i noticed because you’d get locked up when i wouldn’t stop attacking and hitting you when you wake up.
your wake up attacks were fine though, sometimes you got hit by alot.
You NEED to use that C.HP/ AA SRK’s for AA. I jumped in way to many times because you never did anything to my jump in’s, and i believe that was one of your biggest issues.
The close range Hado’s are good sometimes I did them alot to but if you noticed both me and you would get punished heavily for it, even sometimes costing us a match due to the SRK combo into our ultra, im still getting used to not using them as much and I strongly suggest you don’t all the time vs character’s that have deadly things like that. Though there good to do alot of the times.
you also didn’t FA too often, you could’ve FA’ed alot of my Jump ins too, usually its bad to do vs Ryu but sometimes its really good, i’m getting used to that also, i believe you should try to.
Other then that your Ryu was very Strong and a great fight! I loved it till the end. Along with that I messed up on alot of links vs you and i think it was due to our connection because i felt like iwas walking in mud most of the matches, i adjusted but still i couldn’t do somethings somtimes, though like i said gg’s man.
Thanks for the feedback, man. Those were some great games. I actually just started using Akuma, so I’m definitely lacking experience there. But you’re right; I hardly ever think to teleport on wakeup.
Anyway, vs. your Rufus. Very solid pressure game with your offense. When you had me in the corner, I couldn’t breathe, and that was usually gg. Caught me me ultra juggles every chance you had, but later on when you went back to Rufus, I noticed you missed a lot of those same opportunities. You get me with a messiah or hk and I’d be like ‘shit, here it comes’, but I just landed. But good mix up with dive kicks into combos/throws.
Blanka vs. Balrog is depressing, lol. But it wasn’t just the matchup, you really did a number on me. Crouching jab was = gg, it was always followed by a combo into headbutt into ultra. I don’t think you ever missed that, so great execution. Also good hit confirming into a safe block string or tick throw when it was called for.

First Gief isn’t broken against Sagat and Ryu ( 6-4 and 7-3), you just didn’t play the matchup.
- 2-3 Random Srk each round, (didn’t even attack or jump) = free spd
- Stop jumping in Gief because Lariat will punish your jump like srk should punish mine
- Srk and Ultra during my link or during your blockstun work 1 or 2 times but after you just give me free spd because I just block.
-Tatsumaki from far are useless and too dangerous if you want to escape from the corner use air tatsumaki. - Work your footsies with Ryu to control the ground and make Gief jump
- Build your super with Ryu so if I FADC, lariat or jump a hado you can punish me. with the super.
- Sagat has more than srk and tiger shot; you can use safe tiger knee to press grif.
- As said before don’t use ultra without a FADC or a jungle.
If you were a Abel player you would say Gief is broken (or the matchup is broken) but seriously you used Ryu then Sagat…
You just didn’t use them well against Gief, I think you have a lot of things to work on.

You the combos down pretty solid, good SRK into ultra, although I noticed you FADC one time with no ultra, seemed like a waste of meter there. Good zoning, maybe you could use the tatsu to get out of the corner. You punish my mistakes well. Watch your jump ins, someone with faster reactions would most likely AA that. I was hitting you with those overhead dashes alot, watch out for that. Throw some mixups into there, you seem to do same stuff. Overall good matches.

You have the c.mk x FB down pretty good, I saw a lot of opportunities where you could srk fadc ultra, I saw you do it once where you mistimed it. At the start of the match, you either throw a had or do a tatsu, its either one or other at the beginning of the round. You throw out some wake up SRKs tho, be careful on those. Thats all I can remember right now haha. Good matches.

Good uses of Rog’s ridiculous sweep, although don’t randomly throw it out there. I got a few wins from jumping random sweeps and getting SRK FADC Ultra. Use Rog’s ridiculous walk speed to your advantage. Abusing his jab with tick throws/walking back cr. strong xx jab rush punch is really really good. Also, make it a point to cr. fierce anybody jumping at you, its way more reliable then using headbutt as an AA, it’s also easier to input. I took advantage of not getting AA’d too often. You dropped a few combo’s, but mostly had them down.
My Ryu’s game is still building =P I picked him up recently after playing Sagat the past 4-5 months. I may end up just sticking with Sagat, but we’ll see where it leads. I’m just trying to get in my comfort zone with Ryu. There’s a lot of holes in my game still, especially with Boxer.
For your Honda: I’m guessing he’s your alt and an alt you haven’t spent too much time on. You jumped in quite a bit and I shoryu’d probably a good 90% of them. It’s easy knowing that Honda has NO other way of getting in other then jumping. Using nj. fierce to move forward and get past some fireballs is a good idea. Also using EX headbutt as an AA everytime I jump in should be something you focus on. You didn’t do a lot for punishes either. I really don’t know too much Honda stuff, but it mostly seemed a little lacking compared to your Rog.

Dang man, that was some good stuff. Every time you had ultra, shoryu -> ultra. Completely destroyed my Cammy. I really had to calm down and focus on my mixups. Lol even your wakeup DP got me!
One thing I noticed though, was you jumped a lot on wakeup. Just a neutral jump. If I were smart, I would have done more Cannon Spikes on your wakeup. I didn’t, too afraid of the wakeup DP FADC Ultra. I shoulda though, would have won me some more matches though.

Good games. I was being thrown around like a rag doll, lol. I like your mix up game with the throws. I think teching is probably one of my biggest weaknesses currently. I threw a lot of random SRK’s. The lag was kind frustrating me and I was just pressing shit after a while, lol. It’s good you played 3 characters cause that helps me with the matchup exp. I’m going to need to hit the training room for a while and practice recognizing Chun’s jump ins. The 2 hitter got me almost everytime.
For you, I notice you were completing a lot of your combo’s without hit confirm. Also, punishing my whiffed SRK’s with Chun, can’t you do that ex legs to ex legs combo or something? I just feel like you could be doing a bit more damage to me.

Good matches, but there was some random lag again during the later fights. Good AA, but you sometimes threw random DPs that got punished. You’re tick throws were good as well. You need to work on those techs; you must have taken at least a quarter of your damage from grabs. Against my Chun, you really gotta watch out w/ those hadoukens when I have ultra and when I’m close enough to do a hasanshu. I caught you with those a few times. Also, try not to jump in when I have meter, or you’ll eat an ex SBK. Against my Blanka, you got caught by my grabs which led to some mixups. If you can tech one of those, my flow kinda stops. Against my Ryu, you got caught by a lot of grabs. I still think you should use more of that meter rather than save for super. You should mix it up a bit more. That’s about it man, and once again, GGs.
