The OP of the GD thread should have a clearly visible GO TO THIS THREAD FOR OUR ONLINE LEAGUE!!11 link in the OP to catch any new players who wander to the GD thread and click on it. Posts about it in GD will get drowned out lol.
Well, I just got informed that something is happening, and I’ll be traveling late on the 10th. I may not be able to play in the league (at least not on the first day).
Amazon sent an email to me with expected arrival date (wasn’t on site). You should check that. Amazon always gets me my other stuff early though. Hope they do the same for Smash.
I’ll still be able to compete, so I guess it’s cool. It ultimately depends on what time the matches start. If I leave immediately after work, I can possibly get to my destination and play, but I’m not sure the wifi could hold up.
Hmmmmm…all the ‘official character of SRK’ banter in the main thread has given me an idea. How would you guys feel about bi-monthly event tournaments? Like ‘Official Seal Smackdown’ to decide who is the official <insert character>, or ‘Reference Rumble’ as a tournament to decide on what LW has to see. Perhaps ‘Blades vs Blows’ crew battle in the swords against manly fists stink Po is always raising.
Find someone with a DVD access alternative they’re not using. Wider range. Not to say we won’t find what we’re looking for via streaming, but some companies just don’t want to let certain shit on stream still.
Then that would be my recommendation if you DO get Netflix yourself. The 1 DVD a day route is just as cheap as the streaming service and unlike the streaming service will have complete access to damn near anything. If you have the means to borrow someone’s streaming side, why bother with it? But even at the 1 a day rate, you’ll still make Netflix cry.
I had an idea about this. Have everyone that wants an official title make a (limited?) list of characters they’d like to claim, then have a battle royale for all contested characters to see who gets the title. That person gets the title (reflected in the OP post) and another player can challenge them at any time (will probably have to limit each person’s challenges to something like once every two weeks). The title holder gets to decide the format (stage, items on/off, lives etc.) and they find a time to battle. Declining a challenge results in forfeiture of the title and the match has to be held within a week of the challenge.
Then again, I’m probably just overcomplicating a simple process with all my forum game bullshit.
