Yeah, it is kinda sad. Her story is one of the saddest in Apollo Justice, actually. Her backstory makes it seem as if she was to be a defendant at some point, but they made her the detective when they decided to leave out Gumshoe.
I wonder if Gumshoe is gonna be the detective in AA5. I’m also curious to see if they include Maya and company.
[details=Spoiler]growin up without lana wouldnt make her like that though, that sweet girl we once knew would have just been happy that
her sister was able to smile genuinely again.
she was no longer a slave.
and
she wasnt convicted of murder
she still had to answer for all the wrongdoing of course but it was all resolved.
I just dont like how they made her in this game.

HYPE. Thanks for posting it in here. I hope they don’t overdo it with special mechanics like Perceive, Psycho-Locks, & the new Mood Matrix.
I’m curious to see what role Pearls has in the game, they didn’t show any scenes of [details=Spoiler]her at the bench as Mia.[/details]
So far, the limitations of the game can be frustrating sometimes…
A lot of time I want to call somebody out on making an incorrect statement, but the game doesn’t let me. It’s like it wrote in the contradictions without realizing it. For example
Spoiler
Dick Gumshoe claims he searched the crime scene, and found the receipt with mayas name on it himself. However, you are the one who finds it, and gives it to maya, whom he finds on her. Thus, you should be able to press him on this, but when I objected it came up with me losing because it didn’t seem to understand what I was pressing for.
Also, even though there is a receipt, the game never lets you actually examine the contents of the receipt. Even when I knew what it was, I couldn’t present it as evidence until we had the magic spirit showing up moment. It’s like, damn it, if I can figure it out before you give it to me on a silver platter, let me!
There was another moment or two like this but I can’t remember them now, overall enjoyable but still kind of annoying sometimes
Yeah, that’s really the only true downfall of the game. The fact that you could figure out the case too quickly but are still railroaded to think 3 steps back.
