Some pictures from the Ventura County Fair. I was jumping back and forth between film and digital, and I think the better shots ended up on film. I’m probably going to end up going back on Friday, because I’m not satisfied with what I got.

And for magazines, I have to second Rangefinder. American Photography is pretty good too.

EDIT: To whoever left the youtube link to the “Gigaton Punch” thanks. It’s freakin’ awesome.

Bump…

did you get to drive the new wrx? I really don’t like the way it looks. I hope they don’t make the sti look like that.

what kind of tripods are y’all using?

also, anyone have experience with those lenspen things? reviews i am reading seem kind of mixed - wondering if anyone has experience with them. right now im maintaining my lens with just a blower brush and a microfiber cloth…

I use a bogen tripod.

the lens pens are cool but they fall apart really fast. the microfiber part does. i just use a cloth most of the time.

new guitar, drool

i use a cheap quantrary tripod from RITZ (edit:they suck). its enough to support my 350D and a long lens. so no worries there. cost like 30 bux normally. dont get the one from walmart… it sucks too much.

i just got back from australia… here are a few i took. ill post a couple at a time.

a couple more from the land down under

i hope you guys like em.

Love your photography Blooper, do you have link to any higher res version, I need a sweet wallpaper.

those are hot blooper. Did you use any filters?

Those cityscapes look really good.

i dont normally link to my flickr… but…

during the day i use a circular polarizer. theres almost no reason not to. for the cityscapes… i might have had it on for some of them… but for the most part, youd want the reflection in the water so you really shouldnt use a polarizer. just the uv filter =D. it was raining on and off so i didnt want to take the uv off.
thanks for the comments.:wgrin:

yeah thats what i figured. th blue skyes and the gray level in the clouds gave it away. pics in rain are cool. you should try it.

how do you keep your camera dry? i thought about wrapping it in a ziplock with the lens sticking out and a couple holes for the strap… or even ceramwrap. a lens hood probably would have been nice too. keep the specks of water off my lens and prevent the lens flares. i kinda like the flares tho…

here’s the website of a top ec tekken play badmojogogo.

he’s done some real cool shit, real nice guy too.

that guy has some good stuff on there.

you can use a big umbrella or wrap it in special bags they sell for cameras. Or try shooting from cover like a car.
