About the targets, we still have more or less 36 hours left so determining who the wallflowers are will prove to be fruitless whilst concentrating the spotlight on a single person will make it easy for the hidden mafia to just nod and go with the crowd.
That said, we do need a discussion starter, DarkGeneral’s question managed that to an extent yet some have yet to reply to it.
Waiting till everyone expressed their opinion on our course of action seems to be the most optimal at the moment. Who knows, maybe they are busy and cannot post or maybe they are simply hiding in the shadows waiting for the civs to tear each other.
I, myself, don’t have any ideas though.
*Right now I don’t have much if any reads at all. Seeing as this is the weekend, there’s a lack of activity in the thread. Which means less leads for me (and everyone else) to go on. *
Yeah, pretty much. I would check to see if anyone has said something in the thread and hours would have gone by. I’m hoping by Sunday night, things will get rolling so we can know how to progress forward. Has everyone checked in yet?
Not yet. If they’re straight civilian then we’re wasting guesses on procedure. Unless they’re extreme wallflowers who only ever post just to be allowed to stay active then it’s not worth it at the moment.
Hey Synonym, Jabs was Azure, just a heads up, though you might know about it already.
I now at least know I played with him once before, well, technically. Any information would help me really.
As for those, I’d rather not lynch wallflowers if they have yet to contribute past a certain quota in my mind. I’d lynch them though if they are still alive for some reason past mid-game without doing anything.
But that said, this game does not fare well for wallflowers as Pimp Willy gave us ample time to discuss during Day 1. It’s more than 48 hours, I think. So there’s that.
Yeah, I found that out as well. From what I could see, Azure is pretty good at running interference. Also at getting himself DQ’ed
Lynching wallfowers seems to be a well-tested approach to mafia games but I’m still not 100% convinced about it’s legitimacy as a day 1 strategy. As the game progresses it becomes a much more viable choice but to start with I’d feel more comfortable basing my lynch choice on evidence. For example, Manx made a post that sounded suspicious. I’d prefer to vote based on that rather than post count. No offence Manx.
So says Wesker, he who advocated lynching wallflowers~
But, yeah, I agree.
Simply put, how much data can the wallflowers give us if we lynch them Day 1?
Minimal, I presume. Best case scenario, we hit a mafia.
I’d prefer to identify the intent of each player first and lynch base on the amount of information their death would give us for Day 2 coupled with their tells(interactions, reactions, etc…).
Haha, I advocated lynching them because I was a prominent poster. It kept suspicion far away from me. Although to be fair, two of the mafia were hiding on the lower end of the spectrum.
On the other hand though, lynching someone who doesn’t contribute by Day 2 isn’t as much of a loss as falsely lynching an active civilian.
Well, falsely lynching someone who you think is a civ is anti-town.
Thus, I have no idea why anyone would want to do that unless they are mafia.
It’s scum tell at it’s finest, don’t you think?
