“Court is now in session.”
“We’re getting really tired of saying we’re ready, your honor.”
“Very well then.” the judge responded. “Let’s skip the formalities and move on the with the matter at hand.”
Edgeworth nodded. “Last night, The Chief was found electricuted to death in his house. Whatever fried him also fried his laptop.”
Phoenix continued, “He is also believed to be a detective that was working this case, and that the reason his laptop was fried was to prohibit the use of his notes as evidence.”
“I see,” the judge said. “So the data that he had collected remains a mystery.”
“Not so fast,” Edgeworth replied. “We were able to pull his hard drive from the laptop and recover the lost data. He named Synonym as part of the Corrupt, who framed several of his teammates. He also names Pimp Willy, AKA, juror # 10, as part of the group.”
“Then,” the judge concluded. “I have no choice but to find Pimp Willy…”
The sound eminated from the back of the court room.
“That list is foolishly written by a foolish fool who wanted to fool the lowest denominator of foolish fools.” XthAtGAm3RGuYX yelled from the back, wagging her finger.
“What do you mean?” the judge asked.
“Hey, pal!” Aidebit spoke up. “How exactly can we trust you?”
“It’s simple, you saw the same thing I saw.”
Aidebit thought for a second. “Saitsu?”
“Yes,” XthAtGAm3RGuYX responded. “And what was he doing exactly?”
“Well, it was hard to figure out, pal. He seemed to get spooked when he noticed us peeking through his window, and he hid.”
“Exactly. If Chief was following Saitsu, then he would know that.”
The audience began murmuring.
“ORDER! ORRRRRRRRRRRRRDEEEER! What is the meaning of this?!”
“The answer is simple,” Phoenix inferred. “The Chief was a member of The Corrupt and forged a fake investigation list.”
“So then,” the judge asked. “Who shall we investigate today?”
XthAtGAm3RGuYX wasted no time in taking the initiatve. “I demand we hear from Icege.”
“I don’t even want to waste time with the formalities now.” Edgeworth said. “I just want to hear testimony.”
“Oh Edgey-poo,” Oldbag said. “I guess this means our date is off.”
