@Hecatom yeah Chiefy’s next after Soviet.
MTG game?
Hecatom, why would Sovi3t get dqd? He’s here now.
which makes him a fine lynch IMO. Syn said if Jason was mafia, Sovi3t was 100000%. So maybe we all switch to SoVi3t. Im afraid if DG comes up Civ, SoVi3t will get a free pass.
However DG is pulling the same move last game, not posting, and voting last second. I think he may be doing it as civ to stay consistent to benefit himself in future games. I’m not sure.
However sovi3t hasn’t posted a vote yet has he? In which case he will get dqd.
Hmm.
They could be but then again we do have both UCs remaining so it shouldn’t be long before we hopefully know who they all are. What novel was that from btw @ForgeDigger
This one [forums.shoryuken.com/discussion/190041/srk-mafia-xvi-shards-of-alara-game-over-alaran-civilians-win](Srk mafia xvi: shards of alara - game over: alaran civilians win!
Also, what is the consensus on how many names the UCs should have before they come forward? Say, they have 2 mafia names we dont know about yet. Should they come forward? Or hold out for a little longer?
Hard to say really. Got to avoid the possibility of the Mafia passing themselves off as a UC.
Best play I could think of is waiting until we run dry of Corrupt. Have the UCs present themselves but not mention their lists. Offer themselves to get lynched to confirm their identity and then reveal all in the Last Gasp.
It’s a solid play but it can only be done when one of the UCs is sure they got the last of the Mafia.
*As your senpai, I’ll probably never notice you, kohai. *
*Ah, perceptive. But how my life is going I fear I won’t be able to even partake in the all-star game if it starters anywhere between the end of October and the middle of November. So this might possibly be my last game until sometime next year when things stabilize. *
@Blindknagg lt sort of spoils the entire novel, but it’s The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.
*Oh right, I have to vote for someone.
Lynch: Bious
Sorry Kohai. *
Just sayin, but if this guy (^) flips mafia, that was a nice kick up dirt tactic.
DarkGeneral is GUILTY!!
Going to TFC this weekend and running Tekken. I’ll be back Sunday evening. I’ll check in from time to time when I can.
@Hecatom
I’m up for following the plan up to SV3, if DG’s civ.
I was thinking about this whole “When should UC’s reveal themselves?” business while I was eating dinner. IMO we should have just one UC reveal themself next day phase.
I’m tired and am finding it hard to portray my reasoning in a cohesive manner that isnt a jumbled mess of words and thoughts. I’ve re-written this maybe 4 times.
So basically this.
- The UC that believes him/herself to be Franziska(praying to god they know by now), should roleclaim tomorrow with their investigation list, and be lynched for identity confirmation.
- The following day, if that list had more innocents than guilty, we should lynch a guilty to even further confirm the identity of the UC and solidifying who we should kill.
- The day cycle following that, if we cant deduce corrupt players any further from the list, Gumshoe should step forward with their list. Lynching Gumshoe for confirmation will be subjective due to point number 4 in a second
- The real downfall to this tactic, is that by the first bullet point I have made, there will only be 13 players left and 3-4 of those corrupt in the worst case scenario that DG flips civ. By the second step there will be 11 players, and 9 by the 3rd. If we really cant pinpoint the corrupt by the 3rd step, we will have an extremely small tolerance window for lynching civs if we havent sniped any more corrupt by then.
*I’m okay with this plan. *
I’d think it should be the dUC, since mafia gets their results, no?
One hour until deadline, about to finally fire up my laptop.
Inexplicably had no energy to do so last night.
I see where you come from with that, but we still dont know which mechanic has been chosen. For all we know corrupt has the investigation targets of both UC’s from every phase. At that point having Gumshoe step forward for that reason doesnt really solve anything. I was just thinking it would be easier to go off of Franziska’s list than having to play opposite day everytime you look at Gumshoe’s results. Besides, corrupt stop getting investigation targets when a UC dies no matter which mechanic they chose to start the game with. No matter what, if we go with the plan they only intercept targets for this upcoming night phase and then they’re in the dark.
Also I looked at those rules again after reading your post. Corrupt only know the targets of the investigations, not the results(Innocent, guilty, botched, etc.)
And looking at that once more, you have me looking at you very funny again Willy. Seeing how you just assumed the corrupt are running mechanic option 2.
DarkGeneral turning up guilty will confirm Sovi3t and Chief. I just saw a post while going back over the thread that tells us.
