So, does that mean you can kind of wait and see who’s getting shit on the most and pile on them some more, to make sure you don’t have the most votes that day? It seems pretty random at the beginning so far.
Ah, because it will make you look like you’re hiding something, yeah? We’re going to be trying to figure out who’s who just by our interactions here, or are there going to be more narratives from Bious?
Sorry for all the questions- I don’t want to fuck this up right off the bat.
What you’ll often see is people getting the popular vote with a big majority. Often times, the Mafia will join these "bandwagons@ because they can do so without having to justify why they voted the way they did. It’s a means of blending in, staying under the radar.
Write ups, unless specified, are for entertainment purposes only and are just a recap/reveal of what happened that day/night as a result of votes or special role abilities.
We have to figure out based on our interactions alone.
chadoukens post about hopping onto wagons seems kind of awkward but not really seeing any scum motivation right now since feel like that type of post is probably going to get attention which is obviously bad for scum.
Oh, I know, but that’s the beauty of the public vote - we aren’t locked in. If someone does something stupid later in Day 1 and outs themselves, sure, change the vote. But otherwise, what else can we do other than shoot blind (RVS), No Lynch, or shout out and bandwagon? I know what goes down past day 1, but it’s that day 1 shit that I don’t see how any actual strategy ultimately ends up in mafia favor.
If everyone randomly votes town randomly votes, mafia still doesn’t have to, or can but only factor in town to their random votes. We then have to wait longer to see which votes deliberately went after town because we have to sift through random votes on day 1 and hopefully more calculated votes in latter days as well as night kills.
If everyone makes concentrated votes and try to start wagons or latch on to anything in d1, then we have reads to go off of on day 1 even if we hit town. We have a high likelihood of doing so anyway d1, but we are more likely to hit mafia earlier after that with deliberate votes d1 than rvs.
It must have been one of the games I didn’t care about because I remember you playing two special roles here, two times mafia on JTM and village idiot.
Welp usually the idea of RVS is that everyone has to make a vote and if they don’t it’ll certainly raise an eyebrow. Also why couldn’t scum just vote for scum?
If we try to figure out if mafia were trying to bus (for new people meaning that mafia votes/reads mafia partners as mafia in order to look better) in an rvs situation we’d pretty much be running around in circles as there is not much to it.
At this point though we might just have to agree to disagree since I don’t really see us getting anywhere besides arguing which clutters up thread.
Why do you have something on coco though @“Missing Person”
Missing Person hates me because I was trolling his game once and then the following game I got dq’d from inactivity
Maybe it’s something else.
Back to the topic at hand, a random vote is literally the only thing that benefits the town because of two things:
We have a 20% chance of nabbing a mafia and at the same time (assuming a mafia happens to be the target), triggering the mafia ability to stop the lynch, and revealing a mafioso.
We can look at the voting patterns and timestamps of each placed vote and look where a bandwagon begins and what triggers it.
