If the poisoner is inactive, then we stall out time hoping that he gets his ass in gear on what should be a surefire lynch.
There’s still a chance that somehow Nupo is civ, but I think he needs to die soon no matter what. If somehow he gets poisoned then lynched, at LEAST we mitigated the odds of losing at worst 2 civs, and at best, a mafia and a civ. There’s the scant chance that we nail 2 mafia by diversifying and hoping poisoner hit Nupo, but that’s scant.
So if you’re a copper with Nupo, you could look like you’re trying to avoid getting him poisoned.
If you’re a robber, you’re looking to optimize chances of hitting coppers.
I feel like the optimal play will be to NOT assume that the assassin is inactive. Rely on him to poison Nupo. Then use tomorrow to deliberate and actually have a lynch vote that can give us more info rather than a stagnant day where everyone will just lynch Nupo. See?
Yeah nupo should be poisoned IMO. Other top suspect is Miraclearrows, aside from his vote being really bad the reason why it seems scummy is because it seems way too opportunistic to start another wagon.
Man, now I’m really confused. First of all, I honestly didn’t realize that the Mafia put a hit out during the night- like, I didn’t realize that was part of the game. I thought the only way people die is from lynching, and the assassin’s poison, and that the night phase was just to dig out info. So I can see how making guesses on civilian roles would actually benefit the Mafia, and not civilians, which is why my posts came across as all fucked up. That’s my bad, but when I saw Azure making a claim on who he is, I thought it might be beneficial for civilians to suss out other civilians (again- I didn’t realize that it’s actually a bad thing because the Mafia will now target someone with a major role, like Mastermind).
But you’re saying civilians can hunt for Mafia during night phase, too? How does that work? And why would civilians lynch other civilians during the day?
Bious’ loltheme + Alpha’s post with lolwords = utter confusion.
Yea, everytime I read that one post by alpha I understand it better. And actually this time is the first time I’m seeing his last point. They didn’t negate the lynch. Meaning, they were counting on Vynce to not die - aka counting on Nupo to tie and then randomly win in their favor. It lends more credence to Nupo being a dirty copper, see?
Pokemon, i was just pointing out my observations. You were the train, I didnt have to start anything. In fact, I was the last person on the list to vote for you as you already had 3 people against you. Also you guys will look be looked at as Mafia when you realize that Im a civ. So much so, it will likely get one of you killed by the next day. Just spitting facts.
Yeah that might have been helpful, lol. I think I’m at least starting to understand it better, though. I might have gotten confused because the theme is set up where the civilians are actually the “bad” guys (as in bank robbers), and the Mafia are the police.
Also @AlphaCommando there’s no way anybody could have investigated me at that point because we started with the day phase and whoever the Mastermind is can only investigate at night. That’s what you were getting at when you mentioned the flaw in the logic, and me not understanding the mechanics yet, yeah?
