SRK MAFIA XIII: SRK Vs. The End of the World -- Apocalypse Now? (GAME OVER - CIVILIANS WIN)

We’ve done the ‘kill somebody on a misspeak’ dozens of times and its gone poorly most times. If RF’s post on the first page and Vynce’s constant (I think its him any ways) misunderstanding of RNG is your guy’s best evidence I’m not in on that wagon just yet. I could be wrong, but I would like a tad bit more evidence before we kill him.

I might give my vote to no-lynch, not locked in yet, as I feel like I don’t have a strong enough read on anybody yet and I think that night one is going to be super important going forward.

We’re only halfway through the day phase, y’know.

It’s not just that. There’s also a couple of people that are passively defending you whilst not hard suggesting anyone else. To me, this says:

  1. You’re Mafia and you’re telling your teammates to try and redirect the thread off you.
  2. You’re Civ and Mafia are trying to appear innocent by not voting for you.

Either way, your death and the voting records that come along with it will prove to be quite insightful.

What is 9PM CST in real (EST) time?

Whatever 12 hours is from now I believe.

10pm. It’s also 3am in GMT.

Did you ever see the Mafia PM for the Marvel game? I wasn’t a team player at all. In fact, the only time I really did much of anything was when it was just me & Ragna left. If I was Mafia then I’d have to adhere to that standard and wouldn’t tell people to protect me. I find it interesting that you come to the conclusion that people passively defending me are Mafia in both scenarios while I’m Mafia in only one, yet you push for my lynch.
And as for the information you’ll get from my death, the majority of that information has already been put out there with the bandwagon. Killing me will be your first mistake in this game Alpha.

@Vynce it’s 10 PM EST, we’re an hour behind you.

@bloodymess @Oerba
I’m trying to lynch you. Please do speak up if you have any objections.

Are we talking China Standard Time or 'Murican Central Standard Time?

There’s two CST? Man fuck time zones…

I would assume Central Standard, since MP’s in American CST this go round there’d be no reason for Vynce to ask what time the phase ended in China.

Central.

Does everyone not believe that I’m in Illinois or something?

Do I need to take a SRK Mafia Watermarked picture as proof that I’m stateside?

Forgot MP was in the states lol. I didn’t know if the C was for central or Chingchong.

You guys were busy overnight.

OZ, thanks for joining the game, even if you suspect me. It’s always nice to see you try instead of going AFK for half the game lol. I hate that you put me in a package deal with DG, but whatever, I enjoy you trying

I honestly think you guys are too hung up on the witness protection program, It’s been like the central focus of the discussion when we haven’t even gotten through day 1 yet. I like plans like that, which bends the rules, and while I personally think anybody who thinks it is a huge risk is being a bit silly, I’m not going to go around calling people Mafia because they want to block the plan that gives us a 99% chance of having <SWBeta> survive.

As with anything, Mafia is rarely as organized as people make them out to be, and ESPECIALLY in day 1 will be looking to spread themselves out as much as possible onto different vote trains, different sides of the same arguments, going in on each other, etc. To think Mafia is going to come out and be united on something out of the gate is foolish, and never happens.

More than likely, 1 or so of the really vocal people is going to end up mafia, the rest will fall between inactive to forgettable. That’s just how it typically goes.

That being said, I’m about to lock in on Augustus, you guys can throw RF to the wolves and I understand, but I’m going with what works for me and that is following my gut on Day 1.

I resent that

You’re turning me on and off PW. I’m not really confident on going in on someone I somewhat believe is a strong reader so early. Either that or I’m being steered somewhere else…

Holy shit this page! lol

@FogeDigger - I stalked Fuzz in the pregame thread because he begged to get mafia. Doesn’t mean he is but I watched to see if his posts would conVynce me that he didn’t. Currently on the fence. Vynce is the deciding factor for my vote. He can tip my vote (on Fuzz) to lock in or not. So you’re right on that. Why am I giving Vynce that blind trust? Because he’s Vynce.

@HAX - You’re confusing me.

@DarkGeneral - The moment someone says they want to lynch you I am locking my vote in for you.

@Kaz - As long as you have that AV up, you’re clean.

@OZ - My nigga. I think I was weak last game but thanks. I’m glad you agree with me. That post was hella long. I’m shocked Synonym actually read it through thoroughly.

@Synonym - My fear regarding RF’s lynch is that only a handful of people have stood up for him. And barely at that. Varying reasons too. I’m still connecting dots on where to go next if he’s turns up civ.

We need to be more mindful on protecting our roles. The damage is done this phase though. On the contrary, our civs with roles should be making the same reads and using their abilities accordingly.

I always beg to get Mafia, it’s infinitely more entertaining than Civilian. So far, even in the game with multiple recruitment opportunities, I have not gotten the sacred PM.

Chief brings up a good point, what information do you gain if I’m lynched?
@AlphaCommando and everyone else who’s voting for me, explain what you learn if I’m civilian and what you learn if I’m Mafia. Explain what you learn if I’m roleless Mafia, roleless civilian, power role civ, minor role civ, roled Mafia, etc and how that helps going into the rest of the game.

Leaves for class

lol not really sure what that means, but I’ve had good success in the past trusting my day 1 reads. They’re not always Mafia, but they typically lead to mafia in one way or another (i.e. if they’re civ, Mafia is quick to join in on my reads then try to blame me for it). I expect better from Augustus day 1, this dude is too sharp to let slide like that. He’s trying hard not to be noticed, a mafia tactic, bet on it
