SRK MAFIA XIII: SRK Vs. The End of the World -- Apocalypse Now? (GAME OVER - CIVILIANS WIN)

Welcome to the thirteenth edition of SRK Mafia! This one’s going to be a little interesting…but I hope you guys enjoy it without overdosing on Tylenol. Since the FGC vs. Illuminati game is about to wrap up within at most 2 more cycles, I’m putting this one up early. I’ll post the leaderboard when that game wraps up.

Theme:
SRK is gearing up for a real live version of mafia at Evo. However, things take a turn for the worst as the apocalypse happens just before they can commence the game, with six members of the group being possessed by demons of mafia games past, bent on destroying the remnants. However, the demons are sneaky, and choose not to manifest until nightfall when everyone’s asleep. Trapped in the Caesar’s conference hall, the group has no other choice but to solve their problems the best way they know how – by turning it into a mafia game.

Overall game idea (if you’re new to Mafia games):
30 people get thrown into a situation where you don’t know who to trust. Each day the SRKers get together and decides to kill somebody, to try and find the demons. After a vote, the person with the most votes is killed by the SRKers. At night, everyone goes back to their beds to sleep, and the demons get their turn to kill people. If the demons have the same amount of people as the SRKers, they win the game. If the SRKers kills all the demons, they win. You win or lose as a team, not individually, so do your best to help your team out!

Roles:

SRK:

Demons:

NOTE: These are the exact images I will send via PM when I assign roles. There will be no passwords anyone can garner from these role descriptions, since everything is out in the open.

Also, despite me giving out roleless cards with <sikwidit>'s name on it, you may choose to die as anyone that has played an SRK Mafia game before if you are given the <sikwidit> card. After the game starts and your roles are received, you can PM me with your death request. Death requests are on a first come, first serve basis. The first person who dies that does not submit a death request will die as <sikwidit>. Anyone else who does not submit a death request will be left up to mine, and the Loser’s Lounge’s, discretion.

Note about the role selection process:

24 hours before the game starts, I will select 5 of the demons first: <Vynce>, <RadicalFuzz>, <Manx>, <ForgeDigger>, and <kaz>. Those 5 must then choose whether they will have the <Bious> role, or have one stock to block a last gasp. Once they have decided that, then <RadicalFuzz> can choose his target, as I will then assign the rest of the roles.

Phases:

The game will cycle between day phase and night phase. In order to keep things consistent, we will be running a 48 hour cycle split into 2 phases, which will always start/stop at the same time.

Day phase will last 36 hours. (9AM to 9PM CST) During this phase, players must decide who they want to lynch. All votes are done privately through PM. People with day abilities must PM their choices by the end of the day phase.

Players who do not submit their lynch vote before the deadline two day phases in a row will be DQ’d. They will be listed as dead, and their role revealed. They will not receive a last gasp if they are an SRKer.

Night phase will last 12 hours. (9PM to 9AM CST) During this phase, the demons must decide who they want to kill. People with night actions must PM their choices before the deadline.

Talking is allowed during all phases.

Night Phase Order of Actions:

<Black Jesus>, <ForgeDigger>, <Icege>, <Pimp Willy>, <The Chief>, <SoVi3t>, <Vynce>, <Manx>, <SWBeta>, <Missing Person>

Votes:
No Lynch is always a valid voting choice at all phases of the game. Your choice must be PMd to me by the end of the day phase. Votes cannot be changed once PMd. Include your day ability choices in the PM (though you can vote and wait on your ability if you feel the need to)

Votes will be publicly revealed in the thread at the end of the day phase.

When you die, your allegiance as well as your role will be revealed.

Last Gasp
When a townsfolk is killed, they are able to make a last gasp. PM me with your message and I will post it into the thread; do not post into the thread yourself. If you feel the need to make a post in game after your death, keep it non game related (“nice game guys”) and keep it to one post only. Posting anything game related after death will result in a ban, the length of which will be determined by myself, Pimp Willy, SWBeta, and NoodleHead, possibly others should others begin running games.

People Banned From Playing:
Azure (2 game ban)
highlulu (2 game ban)
3rdSTRikeLOVE (2 game ban)
Hecatom (1 game ban)

Notes On Game Size:
We should be able to scale down the game if we cannot get 30, and scale it up if we have a huge interest. But I’d like to aim for 30 people.

First dibs go to people who have played before, as well as people who registered pre 2013 (just to avoid new people who won’t necessarily follow the game). We’ve had a big problem with inactivity in the past, and I’d like to make sure people are interested. So if you are a 2013er/2014er, that doesn’t mean you’re automatically out, it will come down to my discretion, so still sign up!

The game will start at 11:00 AM CST (Central Standard Time). This will start the first day phase. The first day phase will last 48 hours. Be sure to check in on the thread during this time if you are in the game.

Day -1: Soul Seeking
Location: Tibet

Answers. Isn’t that what drives everyone here?

Isn’t that what drives everyone up the thousands of steps? Isn’t that what drove everyone to this monastery?

This one monk, see, everyone knew he had all the answers. This wise sage had led countless down their proper path. To their proper destiny. To prosperity and peace.

All this, and more is what he seeked. And like so many others, these too drove him up these steps. A desperate man with a desperate need.

Once at the top, he found the monk seated, meditating. He stood behind him, watching. Nothing fazed the man. He sat, like a statue, contemplating everything and nothing at the same time.

“My son,” the monk spoke, sensing his presence from behind him. “You have come to ask.”

“Correct,” he responded, walking to sit in front of the monk, who still held his eyes closed.

“You have come to seek the answers to the questions that drive you.”

“Yes,” he answered again, now sitting in a meditative position, mimicking the monk.

“Then ask,” the monk asked. “What is it that you seek?”

“I seek to find,” pietastic spoke, “the reason why people always know to kill me in SRK Mafia.”

“What?” the monk responded flatly, opening his eyes for the first time, to see a blurry black man with his tongue sticking out in front of him.

“No matter what I do,” pietastic explained, “they always know. First, it was Missing Person and Azure. Then, it was Sumazndude and Pimp Willy. What’s next? BullDancer and RadicalFuzz?

“A…” the monk stammered. “Are you high?”

“No,” pietastic dismissed. “Drugs aren’t the answer. I tried it last game. How do I always get killed? I should be able to walk over these guys, but I don’t!”

“Perhaps,” the monk explained, “your question shouldn’t be, ‘Why does everyone else try to kill me?’ but should rather be, ‘Why am I not trying to kill me?’”

“Master…” pietastic spoke, having an epiphany. “That’s genius! When I’m mafia again, and they’re onto me, I’ll edit a post! Then they can’t kill me! Thanks for everything!”

And with that, pietastic rushed down from the monastery. He had a flight to catch.

So did the monk, who was left facepalming himself.

“Man, fuck this,” the monk declared. “Buddha not here no more. That nigga done gone fishin’. I’m goin’ to Tahiti. Those three rat thingies asking about hot dogs and hot dog buns made more sense than that.”

Day 0: The Convergence
Location: McCarran Airport, Las Vegas, NV

“Southwest Airlines flight 242 from Detroit has just arrived at gate 3,” the loudspeaker announced. Pimp Willy stood near the exit, waiting. Finally, a tall black man (because BUPO) arrived.

PW?” The man said.

kaz?” Pimp Willy responded.

“Oh man!” the two men exclaimed, engaging in a bro-hug.

“You finally made it!” Pimp Willy said.

“Yeah, sorry I’m late,” kaz explained. “I had to stop by the pawn shop to take care of something for my seme. You won’t believe the shit that happened after that.”

“Word,” Pimp Willy said. “Light can be a real bitch.”

“So who else are we waiting for?” kaz asked?

“Just Missing Person,Pimp Willy said. “Flying in from Korea. He’s the last one to get in.”

“Dammit,” kaz grumbled. “How’s the GM going to be the last one to get in?”

“All he said was, ‘Fuck you, jetlag, argument is invalid,’ when he called me on his layover in Vancouver.” Pimp Willy said, looking up. “Oh look, I think that’s him now.”

“How can you be so sure?” kaz inquired.

Pimp Willy motioned for kaz to look behind him. There walked a white man, dressed like a FOB Asian, with the shakes from drinking copious amounts of coffee.

“Caffeine, caffeine, caffeine,” Missing Person stammered to himself. “So who’s here? kaz and Pimp Willy? That’s good. Very good. Let’s get this game started. I think you’re mafia.” he said, staring at Pimp Willy. Pimp Willy stood frozen. “Are you mafia?” he continued to press.

“But the–”

“Are YOU mafia?!” Missing Person asked, turning to kaz.

“If you’re the GM, wouldn–” kaz asked, getting cut off by Missing Person.

“Of course, I should already know all this since I’m the GM right? Right. But yet I don’t! Because of all the caffeine! Caffeine and Red Bull to keep me awake for this game!”

“But the game hasn’t started yet.” Pimp Willy informed.

“You’re right! I was testing you!” Missing Person stated. “It hasn’t started yet, and we don’t want to have any pre-game mindgames going on, do we? Especially when there’s only two players here! Well, let’s just get to the venue haste post!”

“You mean post haste,” kaz corrected.

“DON’T CORRECT MY ENGLISH!” Missing Person screamed at the top of his lungs, oblivious to the volume of his voice due to exhaustion. “I TEACH THIS SHIT IN CHINA!”

Night 0: We Keeps It Real
Location: Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas

“Oy! Where tha blahsted ForgeDiggah at?” AlphaCommando inquired. “Ah wan tah see whether Forge is ah Jack ahr ah Jill.”

“I believe the Texas crew is coming in as we speak,” Vynce stated.

They turned to look. There was a very confident person carrying a lot of Monopoly money. Clearly RadicalFuzz. Next to him was Sumazndude, who was decidedly some Asian dude.

Appearing from behind them was ForgeDigger.

“Blimey!” AlphaCommando resigned, still unsure.

“Okay everyone,” Missing Person announced, hands shaking as he held the mafia cards. “Gather in before I go on a caffeine crash.”

Everyone but one jumped into the circle.

“GOD DAMNIT, SAITSU, GET OVER HERE!” Missing Person screamed at the person sitting the corner of the exhibition hall.

“Damnit, do I have to?” Saitsu complained.

“Get in the circle, Crytsu,@DaRabidDuckie said, pushing him from behind, “Before I stab you in the face with a soldering iron.”

Finally, all 30 players plus the GM were in the circle. After shuffling the deck, Missing Person began handing out the cards.

“Well, I’m roleless, so lynch me.” BullDancer announced.

“FUCK!” Bious screamed.

"Please slide my card into my scanner," requested WTF-AKUMA-HAX.

“Awesome~!” squealed Augustus.

“You must really like your role,” said Manx, giving Augustus a thumbs up.

“No, I’m talking about me,” Augustus corrected.

A crowd gathered around them, watching the pre-game and wonder what they were doing.

When suddenly, it happened.

A violent earthquake rent the convention hall in two. The earthquake caused DaRabidDuckie to stab himself through his “I <3 Shimapan” shirt, into his actual heart, killing him. People began frantically running for the doors. Missing Person, already becoming increasingly paranoid from his long flight, also followed suit. Not looking where he was going, he found himself impaled on KayoPolice’s penis before the two plummeted in the bottomless pit. All that could be heard was Missing Person screaming, “Oh the irony!” before a ka-toink sound as they reached the bottom.

The group was terrified. Everyone took their school training to use, and covered themselves. But like a train wreck, they couldn’t help to look up.

Seeing fire descend from the roof, they tucked their heads under again. That’s when they heard the laughter. The devilish, maniacal laughter. Then the screams. They were so loud, they couldn’t make out how many, but at least 5 screams to be sure.

Something very bad had gone wrong. And the group was petrified to move.

And just like that, it was silent. One by one, the players stood up to see nothing but the 30 of them left, with a seering mess around them.

“Those screams,” pietastic asked, visibly shaken. “What were those screams?”

“It’s the apocalypse!” ItzJustRellik screamed. “The end times are nigh! The demons are among us!”

Everyone stared at him.

“Who are you again?” Combo_Knight asked.

“I came here with Forge and Fuzz,ItzJustRellik explained.

“And how do you know this is the demonic again?” The Co-Jones asked.

“I saw it on the Discovery Channel…or something,” ItJustRellik replied.

“So what do we do now?” bloodymess pondered.

“It’s simple,” Cyntalan said. “What we do best.”

“Which is?” asked Synonym.

“It’s so clear.” Oerba said in concurrence with Cyntalan. “It’s what we’ve been training for all along.”

“We vote?” The Chief asked rhetorically.

“We vote.” Oerba and Cyntalan affirmed.

“Shouldn’t we look for food supplies first?” Blindknagg thought aloud.

“Well, that might be a good start.” GodotsRevenge confirmed.

“But rest assured,” Exodus. started to say.

“Someone must be lynched tonight,” DarkGeneral finished.

“Oh God, one time, I hope it’s Pistol Shrimp.orochizoolander pleaded.

“Oh for God’s sake, OZ!Shinkuu Tatsumaki, RECESSIONTIME, and Aidebit echoed as they began foraging for food.

FIRST

I’m Magneto, what did the rest of you guys get?

Crap, I got inb4’d.

Whatever, at least I didn’t get inb4’d by AC–

Oh.

I almost never get to post first. 4th will have to do.

Why can’t I like and lol at the same time?

Was just about to go make dinner in real life and then I read this lol.

Make sure you also like the OP so that this gets into the Best Of section.

Anyone need a gun?

First thing’s first.

THAT WRITE-UP WAS GDLK

I was gonna request a different player to be killed as, but AlphaCommando is the best character in the series.

Now onto the game…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rOibrolxGc#t=10

SoVi3t, target me tonight. You know why.

I’m also Magneto B)

Oh, and

Lynch: RadicalFuzz

It’s cause he wants to break the curse of dying on Day 2/Night 2, SoVi3t. Assist us in our cause.

So, I think that the mafia recruited Bious. The LG block still requires a read to work effectively, and I’d rather go for more members.

I’m-

Don’t worry me, mysel-

Ahem

Me and my friends got you.

Wow… best… writeup… ever? Mostly because I meditated and shit.

Time for some epic day one reads. Lessgo.

*Checking in.

@Aidebit

I definitely think mafia recruited [Bious], they’d still be able to get a gasp blocker if they chose to sacrifice him and in the short term they’d bolster their numbers. Since they start with 5 members I’d think they’d want to maximize their force and abilities. Including a successful [Pimp Willy] recruit the mafia can grow as big as 7 deep.

Was [Bious] a pre-determined person or was it “pick the player you want” *

<Bious> was decided upon by Random.org. If the demons chose to recruit <Bious> they did so knowing he would be picked at random.
